Hi. 👋👋 I've been here since the Element. And I've sat on both sides of the fence. I've been one of the nosey finger-pointers who wanted to know what the hell was going on, and also I've wore the content creator hat a few times in my life and I know how it is. The thing that's different about you Nate, than 95% of the people on KZbin, is your pure authenticity. There's no "camera Nate", it's just Nate. And anybody who has been here for as long as I have can tell that. You are the real deal. And when Shannon walked onto the "small screen" I don't think I'm the only one who stood up and whooped and clapped and hollered and shrieked because everybody immediately knew that two very unique people had found "their person". So it's not because we're being dicks or we're being nosey when we notice she's gone. It's because the worst parts of ourselves wanted to believe that the worst had happened and we were mourning. Because we know how good you two are together. And connections like that don't happen every day. Some of us go through our entire lives or a large portion of our lives without finding it. I was 49 when I found my "forever". The problem with the KZbin medium -- and the comments section specifically -- is that it's a sterile environment. We can see your emotions and your passion on the video, but you can't always read the emotions behind our comments. I don't think any of us had any animosity towards you OR Shannon. Like I said, we just wanted to know whether to grieve with you or not. Because we feel like a part of your family. And speaking for all of us, I'm glad we don't have to. We care about you. We care about Shannon (even when it seems like we don't). Look at it this way. Think of all the obsessive fans shows like Survivor and Big Brother have. And they're what? 15 or 20 episodes? We have watched you for YEARS. And we are emotionally invested and we care. I'm sorry if sometimes care comes across in an uncivilized way. "You do you, Boo Boo." And we'll be happy with it. There is no demand on creators other than self. As a content creator I found it essential to stop the self demand of a production schedule because it became a burden rather than a joy. I'm waiting until the joy returns. Content suffers when pressure to produce becomes the focus

Thanks for the info dump! I think the hard part for creators who share so much of their lives is that it makes it really hard to then back off from being so transparent. People feel like they're REALLY a part of a person's life when they get let in in a way that feels "deep", even though it's probably only surface-level and highly curated.
