Malaysia has 100+ Brazil nut trees. Brazil nut trees are only found in one place which is at Serdang Agricultural Institute. I hope you can come and see this tree live fresh in our place.

You want to see the female...she is so much bigger!......the male pollinates an orchid often growing on the tree itself.....the female is the only one that pollinates the tree due to her size and strength....and praise to the agouti as well. I believe it is the only tree that cannot grow in the northern hemisphere....

I'm from a region that grows these trees and I can tell you, If a 'coconut' of these falls into your head you are basically dead. The guide easily breaks an old one with his machete but these are hard as hell. Once I tried breaking one by throwing a rock against it and failed(pressing it against two rocks). Not many a chance to a weak human head to survive these fruits falling from 70m. They are waay sturdier than coconuts.

Not a surprise then that only one animal other than humans can crack into them and spread the seeds.
