Raising sons, i had to have rules about pets: 1) if it cannot breath water, it has to have legs but it cannot have more than 4 legs. 2) it cannot be poisonous 3) if it eats meat, it cannot weigh more than you do when full grown. So rabbits ok, snakes are not.
