keep your van clean and not trashy looking. You can blend in with other cars near hospitals or apartments, convalescent homes at night, or near Mechanic shops lots. Arrive late evening and always leave early 7am or so. Apartments are easy because there are so many cars on the streets. Never park in front of people's homes in a residential area NEVER. During the day you can park at city parks without a problem. Just don't overthink it. Always leave the are nice and clean. After a couple of nights you;ll be over the fear of parking. Just parking use your intuition. Just blend in with other cars.

I have a 2016 transit, I park in front of apartment complexes, condos, side streets of business parks, never had a knock in 5 years of being in my van

I've been in my car since August. The best spot for me has been a senior housing complex. The neighborhood is safe and I've had zero issues, I park in the same spot, out my sun visor in the front window and use makeshift curtains for the back and rear windows (I keep the front driver/passenger windows uncovered to blend in better). For context, I do work two full time jobs and most days don't get to the parking lot until after 1a and am leaving by 6a. All I do is SLEEP there....I'm not living/camping/cooking etc so it's a great set up and I save over $1800 a month in rental expenses! I'm on a six figure debt pay off journey which was the reason for my move. I've paid off 13K since August.

Cracker Barrel allows parking overnight, Loves Truck stop, just let them know you are staying overnight, State parks are pretty cheap. I just google free camping close to me when I plan to go to an area I am not familiar with and usually find a place to park my van pretty easy. I am adding Free Places in Texas as I travel and visit on my channel. I just started adding the Free places I come across this week, so come by and check it out and then stay tuned for more. Good luck on your adventures !

Why I wish you kept one of those buses, my friend. One of those buses you sold. Wouldn't it be imperfect more room? Especially if you have kids, we'll be great, but you've got the blue Van now. But you can rebuild a food truck again, but build up a food trailer so you can pull along with your home on wheels.

Hospitals are used to long term parkers especially if you park high up on their decks. they will think you’re night shift 7p-7a.

I wanted to do this van-life as a brown skin man, then I realized that I can find other ways to travel. The kind of complications that are out there doesn't make any sense to me at least but. Finding another way to travel and still be able to go other places it makes more sense. Thank you for your content...

Look into the All American national force pass. Look into the state park passes if you buy the passes that last a year. You saved money and sporting goods store like REI sale them

Right, this is everyones fear especially when first starting out. I wanted to go to Alabama Gulf shores and stay A Week so what I did was found me a wildlife beach. It was free parking on the beach and but you couldn't stay overnight. So I stay at the planet fitness, but later found out you probably could stay there overnight tucked away. But I stayed a week parked in planet fitness parking lot. I would go to the beach all day long. Chill cool out, then at night. I would hit the plant fitness parking lot and sleep. I got camping pass Get you a camping pass, especially a all American national forest pass. It's good for a year. You can go to any national wildlife place. It allows camping and you don't pay anything because you have that pass and you can get into every National Park for free with that pass. It's called the "All American national forest pass" buy the passes that are a year long. You get your money's worth, if you do that. A lot of campsites like blmland and all that stuff you have to have passes. REI Stores sale the camping passes

I think our biggest thing is always making it look like it’s just sitting there. If nobody sees anyone they are not as likely to say anything. Don’t be doing anything outside the vehicle. Good luck. Have fun most important! 👍🎉

If you will be traveling state to state find bigger truck stop travel plaza. You will find in the car parking section you will find camper ,cans ,and people sleeping in their vehicles. For the most part shouldn't be bothered. Wouldn't hurt to move around a little also if there are others in the area . It will be free parking also small laundry rooms and private room showers that will cost if needed . One out of the two Flying J one cater to RV a fueling area I think it's a water hose to fill up water tanks .

Babe, having a Van hatches and advantages. You can blend in and park anywhere.Basically with Arv or a big bus, you cannot do that.Cause they're oversize.D most towns will allow you to pocket on the streets. But if you can pocket anywhere and I do that myself i'm in my van and watching your videos right now if you speak on the side of a road..

I would not recommend staying in one spot for longer than a day or two unless you either know it's safe to stay longer or you have explicit permission to stay longer. Street parking is common but you have to follow the signs, rules, laws and privacy of homes and businesses around you. Also, twice I was awoken by someone trying to break in or causing damage to my van. One time I came back to my campervan only to find that it had been illegally towed because half the street I was parked on was private...smh

And if you wanna buy furniture for your Van, you'll camp around lchester. Joe's, you can turn to a sink and stuff like that. That's the LY2. Don't you can find for free on the streets everywhere? Have the furniture and stuff. I have in my run. I found out the streets and I paid in yard sales. And that's how I built up my Van. It's easy, my friend. You build your kitchen your bathroom. And everything I have bathroom everything in my brand.

My BIG advice is to travel the major roads and stay away from the tiny towns. Have your license plate cover and license plate frame looking sharp. Have your rig as clean and fresh as possible so it looks friendly. You can chill at free city parks during the day. Planet Fitness, Cracker Barrel, large outdoor sporting goods stores, rest areas, truck stops at night. I personally stay away from overnight parking at Walmarts. Walmarts have a high crime rate statistically, not every Walmart but a lot of them. ❤

Like for you sir you need to know where your going / headed then plan from that point. But with children you may want to hit harvest host areas camp grounds city and state parks then BLM. Solo a or a couple just hit it and run with it. But with children is a different issue. Have fun and just enjoy life. Get out here…
