I think we have lived The same life of ministry. Same age, same experience, and it seems God has done the same work in us. Blessings

Pastor is a just another name for the same role of responsibility as an Elder, Shepherd, Bishop, Presbyter, Overseer and congregations of the church were to have plural amount when they could find men that met the qualifications laid out in scripture. They too were just as subject to the head of the church, Christ, and the authority of the written scriptures just as any other member would have been. They shepherded a local congregation and not multiples nor was there to be a head Pastor. They could also be a minister or evangelist and carry the title of Pastor...as long as they are fulfilling the role of an Elder.

to be honest i agree with you in most points but are you the only one who understand the scripture?
@dyward794 жыл бұрын
I would say many understand it, but being open to change is another thing. What he is talking about is a radical change from tradition.

Maybe the term pyramid is the wrong term. The world system is a pyramid, in the body of Christ all are equal and all have the ability through the Holy Spirit to rightly divide the word of truth.

I've inverted the pyramid idea to represent the church. A servant steps down.

I've always been suspicious of people who take on spiritual titles. Apostle and prophet are quite popular these days. I believe people assign themselves these names to give themselves authority (read: PRIDE). When Paul writes about the life of an apostle it's certainly not prestigious. Unless multiple beatings (40 lashes minus 1 [5 TIMES!!]), being stoned nearly to death, imprisonments, shipwrecks, etc. are one's idea of prestige. I don't believe today's 'apostles' want any part of that. The self-appointed prophets are an embarrassment to Christianity. How many of them have spouted off erroneous "prophecies" that failed to be fulfilled? Then made excuses about their errant predictions. By Old Testament standards they would have been stoned to death for speaking deceitfully in the name of the Lord. What's especially sad is how people bow down to and elevate these frauds. Deceivers and deceived.
