My wife and I are going to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary in a few days. We could both use those new bodies and are hoping to go in the rapture as we both believe it is that close. But, either way, we are ready. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. Romans 11:6 Neither of us have any thing to boast in but the cross. Ephesians 2:8-9. Jesus is the savior, and we are the sinners He came to save. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMAZING GRACE. We are getting old and tired, but we have so much to look forward to. Hopefully we will earn a few more rewards in heaven before we go. But, We have this. We who are saved are never knowledgably disembodied spirits, Jesus and pretty much the entire Bible says we sleep.. but also in the letters from the Apostles and many other places throughout the Bible we see that God is already in the presence of the finished product.. He's outside of our time. So basically as soon as you die, no matter when it happens in the history of Earth, for you, that moment, you went straight from your death bed and in the rapture! As soon as you die the end comes, there is no time to us in between, we don't wait because God is already there and it's to Him that we go. In essence we're already there! He's God, so He can be standing beside you right now except it's "10,000 years" into eternity! This is the Truth I believe that works to set us free, we're already there, it's why He knew us before the foundation of the world and why predestination seems to be a means of interpretation in scripture. The eternal time line is separate from our finite time line, but it's important to know that we are first created from within our finite time line.. it's just that eternity is not mutually exclusive to this finite reality. So when we're dead here.. we're asleep until the end comes, but over there we're actually already standing there as we speak. It's slightly beyond our comprehension, but think sci-fi.. and then you might get it. To God, we're in more than one place at once! In fact, to Him, we're presently in every place "in time" that we have been and ever will be. He's 4 dimensional! And those "places in time" physically exist.. they're not just hypothetical. He's "currently/actively" (in His perspective) holding your hand right now as you take your last breath, watching you take your first breath, watching you look into your child's eyes for the first time, and even watching you reunite with that same child for the first time in eternity! This is ultimately what Paul means in 1 Thessalonians 4:18 when he says "Wherefore comfort one another with these words." None of us live "a time" without one another.. we all arrive together!

Lord Bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ. I am here to simply say that Jesus exists and so does his eternal kingdom. In 1990, I had a near death experience as a kid. I was running a seriously high temperature of 105.5 based on my moms report who initially took my temperature before, I became unconscious. I later entered this utopian heavenly paradise but, I did not witness the streets of gold or enter through the pearly gates. I did witness these beautiful rolling hills with green pastures and flowers of all sorts. The sky was beautiful and it looked as though it was interchangeably transitioning from turquoise to lavender, to purple and pink hues. Everything in this place swayed and worshipped Jesus. I saw a temple like building made out what looked to be limestone (Don't know how I knew this) but, everything was just so clear to me and I just knew. I saw several loved ones that had passed away including my grandmother. I remember asking her specifically, what this place was and all she said plainly (in her words) was, that it was merely a "Temporary Holding Place". I physically saw Jesus with my own eyes and he was dressed in luminescent and vibrantly bright white clothing (like he was glowing) and his face was so radiant it was like looking at the sun (only a thousand times brighter) but, it did not harm me. I was so at peace and comfort with him and I could sense his overwhelming love. I was unable to see his face because, he was so full of warmth and light! I'm am not here to argue about doctrine nor am I a theologian but, only hear to humbly speak of my experience. I was always taught the same as most Christians and or believers, that there exists a Heaven and Hell. Until this day I don't refute that. All I can simply say is that I witnessed this great temple and looked like limestone and inside this temple it was rectangular in shape. For me It felt like a long awaited reunion of lots family and friends that only my spirit could adequately interpret or comprehend. This place was elegantly adorned and decorated with fine linen and neatly arranged wine glasses and silverware at each table yet, nobody was seated at any of these nicely reserved tables. Instead, everyone was mingling on the outer perimeter (outskirts of the rectangular dining room). I'd like to believe that maybe I got a glimpse of what the bible refers to as, "The Parable of the Wedding Feast", which is one of the parables of Jesus, that appears in the New Testament found in Luke 14:7-14. It directly precedes the Parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14:15-24. In Matthew's Gospel, the parallel passage to Luke's Parable of the Great Banquet is also illustrated as a wedding feast and is symbolic for Jesus (Groom) returning for the Church (Bride) spoken of in Matthew 22:1-14. My honest assumption is that when Jesus (The groom) returns for the bride (Church) we will be allowed an appointed seat at the wedding feast. About this utopian paradise I witnessed closely reflects what I believe is written in Luke 23:43 when Jesus replied to The "Penitent Thief", also known as the "Good Thief" or one of the unnamed Thieves on the Cross, Jesus said to him, "Today you shall be with me in paradise”. Yet, this was not the same "new" Jerusalem that is referred to in the book of revelation (This has not yet occurred-future). I know it does exist but, I believe it has not been unveiled to us yet because, it is still being prepared like a bride and will one day reign down from Heaven to Earth. The bible say for all those who are victorious they wil become like citizens in the city and this will be the temple of God and we will dwell with him forevermore (Revelations 3:12). I've read this passage many times over but, now its meaning is so much more significant to me. We can also see a reference to the spoken paradise explained by the "Apostle Paul", written in (2 Corinthians 12:1-4) and it reads,"Worldly boasting is all so foolish, but let me go on. Let me tell about the visions and revelations I received from the Lord. I was caught up into the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether my body was there or just my spirit, I don't know; only God knows. But I do know that I was caught up into paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed". I too pondered this and thought to myself this would not be far and beyond God's infinitetly creative mind and power to have several dimensions of paradise until our "Holy City" (New Jerusalem) is finally completed. This Greek word for “mansions” occurs again in the New Testament only in John 14:23, where it is rendered abode.” Yet, Wiclif and the Geneva version read “dwellings.” It is found in the Greek of the Old Testament only in 1 Maccabees 7:38(“Suffer them not to continue any longer”-“give them not an abode”). The translators here followed the Vulgate, which has “mansiones “with the exact meaning of the Greek, that is; “resting-places,” or “dwellings". John 14: 2-4 solidified this truth, “ For In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so then, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going. In search of more answers I began to research and uncover the truth for myself. Brothers and Sisters, we should also acknowledge that God is a mighty infinite supernatural force not bound by time or space, he is everywhere all at once, he is multi-dimensional, omnipotent, and omnipresent and there are no limits or restrictions to what he can do (Psalms 113: 1-9). Just like it reads in Revelation 21:2, And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.There was a lot more details that I wish I could fit in my comments but, I had to condense it. Anyway, maranatha (Lord return quickly) and may you continue with the hope and love of Jesus Christ! Additional References: During the great tribulation and during the reign of the antichrist, God will raise up two witnesses to demonstrate his mercy, love, compassion, and infinite power. His two chosen witnesses will give his final testimony and truth to the entire world. When their testimony is given over a 3-½ year period and is finally complete, the Bible says that the beast (Anti-Christ) will come out of the bottomless pit and ultimately kill them. He will even go as far as refusing their dead bodies to have a proper burial because,of the conviction and spiritual upheaval they caused. At this time the remaining lost and/or non-believers throughout the entire earth, who rejected them will began to celebrate and rejoice over the death of these two witnesses (Servants of God). "But after three and a half days, the spirit of life from God re-entered them, and they stood up! And terror struck all who were staring at them. Then a loud voice shouted from heaven, 'Come up here!' And they rose to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched" (Revelation 11:11-12). The concept of believers being "raptured" or "caught up" to be with the Lord is not a new concept. Enoch was taken up.Elijah was caught up.Ezekiel was carried by the Spirit from Chaldea to Jerusalem and back to Chaldea. Jesus ascended to heaven. Paul was caught up to the third heaven. John heard a voice from heaven saying, "Come up here," and lastly the two witnesses of Revelation 11 were taken up in a cloud. Just as we who believe in the name of Christ Jesus will follow suite. In light of these examples and the things still to come, there is no question that God's spoken word and promises are holy and true. His reward and fulfillment is only but, a blessed hope for us all. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). Turn your heart over to Jesus Christ, while there is still time. Surrender to him and acknowledge that we all fall short of his glory (romans 2:10). Ask for repentance and he will make you a new person and he will give you everlasting life! (John 3:16). Rob Jr Great stuff. I've had a heavenly encounter too. However, your 2nd to last paragraph was a bit off key. It's not about us giving our life to Jesus or repenting of our sin, but of simply accepting the fact that Jesus has already done everything to save us to the uttermost. While we were yet dead in our trespasses and sins He made us ALIVE! We have the righteousness of Christ Himself because we BELIEVE that HE won the victory. Not because we 'repented of our sin.' God makes us a new person because of Jesus, via His Holy Spirit, not via our fleshly effort. 😇 Excellently good news. Really something worth rejoicing over.

Paul never said we "go to the third heaven when we die." Paul taught that we wait in the grave, "asleep" in death, until we are resurrected at Jesus' return: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). At Jesus' return the dead or "asleep" in Christ will be resurrected. At that time there will be some (in Christ) physically still alive, not "sleeping" in death. They, along with those who are resurrected, will receive "incorruption" - the gift of eternal life: "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). So, what about the rest of the dead, not resurrected at Jesus' return? They will be resurrected for judgment at a later time, after the millenium: "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. . ." (Revelation 20:5). This later resurrection was what Jesus referred to in John 5:28,29. Once again, we see that the dead *_wait in the grave_* for their resurrection: "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

The Bible Says; Paul was talking about the physical body. The spirit body continues on with Christ. Paul said it himself that to be apart from the body is to be with Christ. He also said that he struggled between wanting to go be with the Lord or staying here to help benefit the church.

I got a question and I hope someone can answer it. All of the people that was raised from the dead by Jesus during his time on Earth, where were they while they were dead? And if they were in this paradise that is supposed to be amazing and beautiful and in the presence of God with no suffering and ultimate happiness, then why would Jesus pull them back to this wretched, awful, sinful world for them to live again in torment compared to where they were in Paradise...and why didn't any of the people that were raised from the dead have anything to say about what they saw or experienced while they were dead? It seems like they would have had something to say about the unbelievable magnificent amazing things that they had experienced while in Paradise... can anyone please answer these questions for me??

What happens when you give up your last breath and die? You go to the grave. There you stay until you are resurrected. _Upon_ death your "thoughts perish": you have no consciousness and know nothing: ⚫ "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalm 146:4) While you remain in the grave, you know nothing and are unaware of the passage of time: ⚫ "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Many times the Bible refers to death as a figurative "sleep." Those who are dead are "asleep" in death, unaware of what is going on. Jesus referred to Lazarus being asleep - dead - before He resurrected him: ⚫ "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead." (John 11:11-14) In Daniel 12:2 we have this reference to the dead and their resurrection: ⚫ "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." There are two times of future resurrection. The first is when Jesus returns. The apostle Paul described this resurrection in 1 Thess 4:13-17 and in 1 Cor 15:50-54. The first resurrection is for "the dead in Christ," who "sleep in Jesus," in the grave. Paul wrote: ⚫ "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) In a letter to the Corinthians, Paul gave another description of the resurrection at Jesus' return. Jesus returns "at the last trump" - the seventh of seven trumpet soundings described in detail in Revelation chapters 8 through 11. At His return the dead in Christ will be resurrected "incorruptable": immortal. At the same time those in Christ who are alive at His return, not "asleep" in death, will also receive immortality: ⚫ "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Corinthians 15:51-54) Those in the first resurrection have eternal life and will reign right here on earth with Jesus for 1000 years: ⚫ "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Rev 20:6. Also see Luke 22:28-30; Matthew 8:11,12; Rev 5:9,10; Isaiah 2:4; Daniel 2:44; Daniel 7:14,18,22,27) The other, second resurrection - of everyone else left in the grave - comes much later, after the end of Jesus' thousand year rule here on earth: ⚫ "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished . . . " (Rev 20:5). Jesus gave this description of the second resurrection: ⚫ "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (Jesus, in John 5:28,29; also see Daniel 12:2) Just to clarify, a person can be resurrected either to mortal life, or, to immortal life. Jesus resurrected Lazarus (John 11:1-45) to mortal life. Jesus was the first to be resurrected immortal. Those in the resurrection at Jesus' return will be resurrected immortal, like Jesus: ⚫ "But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." (1 Corinthians 15:23) In the last resurrection - after the 1000 years - it is evident that some are raised mortal, to "damnation" and "contempt." Others, apparently, are raised to eternal life: these would be people who died in Christ _during_ the 1000 years.

@@dansmith9724 What's the parable of Lazarus and the rich man really about? Jesus gave a hint when He said the rich man had five brothers. The "rich man" symbolized the Jews: their ancestral father (Judah) had five brothers (all six were sons of Jacob and Leah, Luke 16:28; Deut 35:23). The Jews were "rich" because they had a covenant with God, promising them blessings and the Kingdom of God if they obeyed. Lazarus was the Gentiles, "outside the rich man's gate" -the promised blessings were not available to them. The parable reveals that Gentiles -anyone who obeyed God (just as Abraham obeyed, therefore Lazarus was pictured in Abraham's bosom)- would receive God's mercy and blessings and the Kingdom, and that the old covenant with the Jews (and the other tribes of Israel) would be superceded. Jesus gave a similar parable in Matthew 21:33-43. Jesus concludes in verse 43: ■ "Therefore I say unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." The immortal soul, and eternal torment in a fiery hell, were the prevailing pagan Greek afterlife doctrines of that time. Jesus staged the parable in that hell scenario, knowing His listeners would recognize it was from the Greeks -not from the scriptures- and would look for the true meaning. Today, however, the Greek narrative has crept into church doctrine to the point that the parable is presumed to be proof of hell. Church translators compounded the error by literally writing "hell" into the Bible in place of three Greek words that have nothing to do with a place of perpetual torment. It gets worse: now, when people see "hell" in their Bible they say "Oh, so we must have immortal souls" -and the pagan doctrines live on . . .

When you die,you go to the grave,as the Bible say. You go no other place. Let stop this lie. Here is my proof. JOB. 14:12 So man lieth down ,and RISETH NOT;till the heavens be no more. Lazarus was a believer in Christ,when Lazarus came out of the grave 4 days after his death and Mary warned them of the stink,he will have . What did Lazarus say? Nothing,he say nothing about heaven or a place. For the dead no nothing. What the bible says,is that when you die you go to the grave and SLEEP,and are QUITE. That means ,your not floating around scaring people or talking to PSYCHIC,which in Gods eye's,that would be witchcraft ,which God hates. It a nice story ,but its not the truth, We have to wait on Jesus to return ,why? For judgement,You can't go to heaven without being judged. There is an order. So if anyone say they have been to heaven ,they are lying. No one has been there except,the first fruits. As a matter of fact,there are 2 resurrections. One when Jesus comes back and the believers are taken to him,for the dead in christ ,rise first. Then they get there REWARD,which is there,incorruptible body,which you have to have,to look at the lord,you can't enter,with Sin. For God hates Sin. The 2nd resurrection,happens 1000 years later,and they will be judged,they being the ,none believers and the evil one's.Hell is not made for you,is for the fallen angels and the evil people of this world. That would be Friday sunset till Saturday sunset,Not the hour or so the church gives to God. The 7th day of the week is Saturday. Sunday is the first day of the week. Which on that day,you were suppose to be working. But the 7th day( Saturday) God sanctified it and bless it. When was sunday blessed and sanctified? It wasn't and they had no authority to change it. Its a figure of speech,and your soul is not in heaven. What would your soul be doing? Nothing,No one or any soul has gone to heaven,you have to be judged first,thats when Jesus come back. When you die,your next thought ,would be of being raise by Jesus. Its like a long car ride and you fall a sleep and the next thing you know,is that your there.Its the same thing. But you can go to heaven,till after judgement. That means he didn't rise on sunday. also he had to be in the gravgfe for 3 days and 3 nights,so he died on Thursday because it was the passover,and there is a preparation day,so they could n't put him in his grave clothes,do the math. As for dying,you will be judged,before you can go to heaven or the new kingdom,by the Ten Commandments,Gods laws,what else could you be judged by?
