When you saw TJ Doheny in the ring, you were probably thinking no way this guy is fighting anywhere close to 122 pounds. On fight night, Doheny was 145-146 pounds whereas Inoue was around 135 pounds. Thats 11-12 pounds on Inoue and the monster not only broke down Doheny, Inoue body blows were so strong that Doheny lost his mobility to walk. Inoue going up to featherweight next year is to be expected but I strongly believe he's going to knock out everyone in that weight class. Once Inoue clears out all the top fighters at featherweight, there won't be any debate where all the boxing sanctions, sports media and fans to name Inoue as the top P4P and fighter in the world. If Inoue knocks out guys like Nick Ball, Angelo Leo and Rafael Espinoza, it's a done deal.

This time, Naoya, reflecting on his fight against Neri, tried to defeat Doheny without forcing his opponent to do anything, so he entered carefully and did not attack Doheny even though he applied pressure. I tried to get Doheny to strike, and while checking the power and trajectory of the punch, as well as the movement Doheny was making when he threw the punch, I went to the corner myself and tried to invite Doheny to attack, but he didn't come, so I watched Doheny's attack. From the 5th round, when he saw the punches, he aggressively launched a no-motion straight right, a one-two, hit the body up and down, and hit a combination blow.He took the initiative and rushed toward the end of the 6th round, and he couldn't help but look sideways. Doheny was punched in the back and it hurt! As the 7th round began, Naoya rushed to defeat him, and Doheny lost his will to fight and withdrew

@KaboozeGlobalMedia you have no idea how much of a casual you are if you disagree Inoue didn't even look motivated fighting this dude and still got the KO. You either don't do your research or you're just plain delusional. Inoue mentioned at an interview/ instruction from his father that he is there to fight Doheny to sharpen up his skills and test out what hes been working on in camp which explain him being patient. Imo, he could've ended Doheny in early rounds if he wanted to because he turned up on TJ in the 7th round and knocked him out via body shot that apparently injured his back. All it took was 1 round to turn up and get the KO and you think Doheny surprised Inoue? GTFOH! LOL. Did Doheny really get tired in the 7th due to only being 37 yo? Don't blame the age too much now, as there's other older active fighters who can last all 12 rounds. Inoue broke him down and turned up the heat Doheny couldn't handle and that's all she wrote. I'll give Doheny a round and that's being very courteous I mean look at his face compared to Inoue and that's only because Inoue got better defense and offense. Besides, isn't Doheny the stronger fighter here and had a huge advantage weighing at 47 at fight night? There's literally levels to this game & Doheny didn't even come close. Good night lol
@sinigangpapi3379Ай бұрын
@KaboozeGlobalMedia Inoue is levels above Doheny he used the fight to help him improve on his skills, only needed 1 round to turn up to get a stoppage, injured Doheny's back from a body shot yet I'm the one that's lost. Inoue didn't even seem interested fighting this guy just used him to improve his craft which goes to show he's levels above.

I think after a couple more fights at 122, he might fight Robeisy Ramirez at 126 if he gets and wins the rematch. I would rather Nakatani get more experience and let him work his way up to featherweight. It shouldn't take him that long since he's taller and has a better frame to put on muscle easier than Inoue. I don't think it would be as competitive as many people would think if it happened right now. Save that mega fight for Inoue's last fight or a few fights before he retires.

Why inoue will never fight in usa !! 1. Western fans not interested in lower weight Division!! 2. market values was different in usa and japan, especially for the fighter from lower weight class. Fulton & Tapales got $3 Millions dollars for Fighting inoue 3.Filipino its one of the largest diaspora people from asia who life in usa, so they can sell out the arena for Pacquiao How about inoue?? How the hell you come to usa for $500K meanwhile the Japanese will give you $5-$10 million dollars + sponsored and PPV!! He sell tf out arena there especially in Ariake arena and the Tokyo Dome!!

@Dadee3 Inoue already fought 3 world title fights in Vegas and California (including headlining a main event fight on Halloween). But like pass4359 said, if you actually keep up with boxing, he's fighting in Vegas next year in April (which Bob Arum announced after Inoue victory against Doheny). Inoue fighting in his 5th weight class next year to become the 6th quintuple champion in boxing history, joining the ranks of Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Thomas Hearns, Sugar Rey Leonard and Oscar De La Hoya.

@@21sausage9 idk when, Chris Algieri said it on his podcast. I think the problem is that he's giving up 10 pounds on the ring on 122, against big 126ers he's gonna be giving up 15+ pounds. But from a spectator pov, I also want to watch him challenge himself to the max, although I would not mind 2 more years at 122 if he ended up fighting both Nakatani and Bam

I don't see any reason he cannot fight Tank though, lightweight is 135 pounds or 61kg, it's achievable. They can fight outside Japan and the US for a fair fight.
