This is a complete rebuild on the coaching staff, the defense, and offensive schemes. They need a NT, (2) Guards, and a TE, in this draft that can start. Macdonald Hated most of the defensive players, Guard/ center and backups, those were released/ not signed. Housecleaning 101- get rid of the bad/ overpaid players, start from scratch. You can find cheaper replacements.

Byron Murphys a dawg and they grabbed a few guards in the draft while snagging Aj Barner . I think Olusegun Oluwatimi should start but we will see how the trenches end up.

It’ll be different, but I won’t harbor thoughts of the playoffs. It won’t necessarily be a dispassionate viewing experience, but it won’t be a season fraught with outsized expectations either.

Pete Carroll would have kept his job if he had not refused to fire Clint Hurt. I wish we could have kept Colby Parkinson. Many TEs don't hit their NFL stride until year 4 through 6 I have no doubt Mike Macdonald will make many of our defensive players better. I feel that he must have a special way of communicating. He is able to simplify things or help players understand. Linebackers, in general, are not going to be great in covrage. A good linebacker can stay with your average tight end, but they can't cover slot receivers or runningbacks for more than a few steps. Just one pushback Jordan Brooks was not good at pressuring the QB. He only has 3 sacs for his career.

Jamal played on average 8.5 games a year for us. He was overpaid and perpetually injured as safety, let alone a LB.

Correction, Jordan Brooks doesn’t pressure the QB well! He’s got only 3 sacks for his career so far…I’m hoping that Dodson and Baker can help our defense, especially in coverage situations! Both Wagner & Brooks were liabilities on passing downs! Time will tell…Missing Pete already❗️But I’m also excited about a new regime coming to Seattle and bringing home another Lombardi Trophy 🏆 soon!! #GoHawks #12’s
