Yukons are my favorite. They taste like they were fertilized with butter! I'm also growing German Butterball and I'm really curious if there will be a difference between the two. Enjoy your meal and have a wonderful day!

I'm so pleased that you like it so much because I planted the Yukon Gold in my garden about 3 weeks ago. I'm in Connecticut so my season just really got started a month ago. Since you seem to like it so much may I suggest that you set aside some room in a raised bed in the greenhouse for it for the next season to see how that works in the greenhouse. And IF that succeeds, then may I further suggest a 4-ft wide raised bed, dedicated to the Yukon Gold, in the Queen Dome for the following season? In a 4-ft bed you could get 4 complete rows the entire length of the greenhouse, planted about 1-ft apart. That's a lot of potatoes.

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸. 🗽🇺🇸🙏🏼 My husband and I plant a garden every spring. We live in the California desert so our growing season is short. We are at 4,000 ft above sea level so we do get snow ❄️ Also, thank you for respecting the true reason for Memorial Day. My dad was a veteran and my husband is a veteran. Dad is buried at our National Cemetery at Riverside, California where my mom is as well. Dad passed this January and mom will be in heaven 18 years come June 15. Thank you for sharing your wonderful garden with us.🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

I planted some Yukon Gold in the green planter bags because of limited space in our yard. It’s an experiment to see if it works. 🤷🏻♀️. I did pray over them...never hurts to have some gardening help from the Master Gardener! 😬🥰.

Don't take those skins off, eat them! There is so much nutrition in the skins! Yukon Gold and little red potatoes are my favorite! Do you remember the Ponderosa Steak House? Terrible steaks but I don't know what type of potato they used for their baked potatoes, some type of russet potato but it was really really sweet and I really enjoyed those also.

Howdy! Happy Memorial Day! I planted my potatoes really late this year and planted Red Gold potatoes that seem to have a lot better yield. Red Gold is a 70 day potato, but I think it takes longer, but, I planted late and planted in containers because of flooding rains. They are delicious potatoes!

I love the fact that you always quantify your statements when it comes to "your growing zone". What grows well in my region might not grow productively in your zone. I'm learning that we have so much more environmental control in the raised beds, high tunnels, or green houses versus the traditional garden. I have beautiful heirlooms tomatoes growing in the raised boxes but failed to have a successful crop in the traditional garden last year.

Yukon Golds make the BEST mashed potatoes EVER! -- When you can them you don't get the starch in the bottom of the jars like you do with Russet potatoes. This is our favorite potato!

Yukon Gold has been my favorite for years now. It's the only potatoe that I'll actually eat the skins of. A few drawbacks I've discovered is that they don't store very well and in North Texas they tend to be susceptible to fungus. But the taste and versatility makes up for it's shortcomings. Love your channel!

I love them baked as well with butter, salt pepper and a touch of sour cream but sometimes like y'all are doing I just eat them plain. They have a natural buttery taste and so yummy. Yukon gold taters roasted in the oven can’t be beat. They seem to be scab resistant but I have had issues with them rotten in the ground this year. Only a few, hoping they store well and whatever happened to them in the ground didn’t spread to the others.
