"Late season Wemby" was a sight to behold. If Wemby plays better than he did at the close of last season, AND we add in CP3, we'll have to be asking, has he just had the best season of any player in NBA history? Will his second season be better than Curry's unanimous MVP season or MJ's best season, for example? After that, will Wemby's 3rd season be even better than his second season?

It’s hard for me to Rank Wemby rn while also ignoring “potential” i don’t want a to rank a player in potential and I find myself doing that with Wemby, but regardless it’s undeniable that bro is everything we thought he would be and like you said he’s figuring it out and playing free, that’s huge for him Also LOVE the point about Pop allowing him to get a board and go. My coach that played for in SA PRAISED Pop for that ideal, and even had us doing it in HS where bigs could get it and go.. offense is faster, and often times has a mismatch bc the opposing big isn’t expecting to stop ball

Wemby is hard to rank in the NBA because his team is so bad. Although he is playing amazing, we will look at him differently when the team starts to win. And people who value defense will rank him much higher than those who dont. Because the fact he is currently a 20 ppg scorer who can pass and is the best rim protector by a large margin is kinda crazy considering he is a rookie. I'd say he is top 15.

People annoy me when talking about Wemby. Dude is leading the league in Blocks as a damn rookie, but people always say "he's 7'4 of course he is!" But ignore that people taller than him have never led the league in Blocks, so it's very obviously not just his height

He’s 100% not top 25. You said Zion has been so disappointing but when he’s playing Point Zion the pelicans have the highest points per possession in the league.
