Consistently the best football podcast imo. Most standard podcasts are boring, you guys carry it through.

First of all, not all elite managers share a similar profile. What makes a particular manager elite? Can Peo Guardiola replicate his results at a club with smaller resources? Wouldn't Sean Dyche be a better manager under those circumstances? Appointing an elite manager doesn't guarantee results and certainly not quick results. Clubs also need to have the right resources and support structures that provide foundation for a manager's philosophy. Square pegs and round holes simply won't fit no matter the reputation of either party.

They are there. You just haven't wanted to name them yet. Ancelotti, Guardiola, Klopp, Enrique, Alonso, Tuchel....

A lot of the elite, or at least that second tie, available managers are rather combustible. It seems like these big clubs are moving toward only wanting head coaches rather than managers and it’s not lining up with your Tuchel, Conte, Mourinho, Poch, etc.

Wtf is an elite level manager? Someone whos won a champions league? Not many of those out there that play offensive attacking football that havent been burned through already by big clubs

There are LOTS of elite managers, but not even manager fits every club, and no manager is an island. They need a good support structure around them to be elite. No one wants to build that, they want instant success.

less about a lack of elite manager and more about how unappealing these three clubs are to managers.

The problem is, too many people in football have been indoctrinated by Pep and his system. Thus, managers have lost their natural identity or the ability to create styles which maximize their players. This leads to disillusioned players and coaches getting sacked. Football's a simple game, but in recent years; many people complicate things. Look at Ancelotti at Real Madrid; barely a tactician but on the verge of a record CL final

In a world where so many ex footballers and brain dead pundits call David Moyes a good manager you can tell that the definition of the word Elite must refer to any average pub team manager 🤣🤣🤣

I guess the real question that he´s asking is; "Where are the managers that just win all the time?". There are very, very few. And they are careful where they go. In this day and age, even if you are a good manager, you are discarded if you go to an "ambitious" club and lose too many games. Theres no mercy. So, if the club is not City or Madrid, theres a big chance you come across a run of losses, which takes away your "elite manager" sign immideately.

They've all gone everywhere and they've all completed their circles. Their next jobs are going to be at clubs where they've been before.

Carry on with the league cup, but clubs involved in European competitions are not entered. Sorts congestion and allows other teams to win the cup

It all started when the title of managers was changed to head coach and he would come with a thousand staff members where the old mangers had one assistant one youth coach and one medical /doctor staff and they would run the club it’s not that way anymore and it’s sad the game is more based on tactics that just pure football ..

What the hell is on Vish's head???😅 Seems like the best thing to do is not to attract attention to your balding head by building a canopy that puts Trump's comb over to shame😅
