Hello all
Glad to be starting 2025 with an easy walk in the forest in Lanarkshire. As you have seen from the video i damaged my tendon and muscle in my right leg which left me on crutches which was not great. Fast forward through the pain and stress and the annoyance it was not getting out, so back on my feet.
This video is taking you through what went wrong and some of my plans for 2025.
If you want to connect for a wild camp here in Scotland then please reach out, would be great to share some wild camping with other enthusiasts in our stunning country.
Footage.

Ey up Steve mate. Great to see you back on the tube, your videos have been missed. Sorry to hear about your injury, hopefully you are fully on the mend, but take it easy mate. Loving the mug, best mugs in camping. 😀👍 I’m on the West Highland Way the first week in May so really looking forward to that. All the best mate Dave ⛰🥾🏕️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Thanks Dave Just catching up with the comments, yes its been a while and good to just get out for light walking with no pressures. Still look for camping spots even when i am just walking haha, i cant help it. So glad the mug is doing well, i take mine everywhere haha and is well used. Depending on when you do the WHW in May Dave give me a shout and will join you for a walk on a part of it if timings are good. You will love it, i done it over 5 days and then another time over 8 days both were fantastic. Steve 👍

@@Campingonthewildsidescotland HI Steve, we are doing it, the first week in May, starting from Drymen on Monday 5th. It would be a pleasure to have you join us for a part of it. I hope that fits in with your busy schedule. We are doing it over 7 days, or that's the plan anyway! Haha.

@@DAoutdoors sounds great Dave, marked that in the diary and we can figure something out nearer the time. Mind you cant wild camp in the Loch Lomond national park you need to stop on a permit camping site which i have done, so go on the website to keep you right (book in advance) or the Rangers will move you on after Loch Lomond area you are all good to wild camp. take coins for the honesty boxes which are fab. 7 days sound good timing. Only saying this if you didnt already know lol.

@ We are only wild camping on one of the nights Steve. I’ve booked in at all the camp sites along the way already. 😃 I’ve watched loads of peoples videos on you tube, I pretty much know every step of the route already. 🤣
