I haven’t watched you in a hot minute because my life has been crazy. Right now I’m writing a (very short) thesis paper on punk music for my philosophy class and it’s given me a fantastic excuse to look at more punk stuff, so I’m very glad I could watch this and find out why Brain Farm didn’t have any music on it anymore. Hey man! Just found your channel and I fucking adore it. I'd also be super interested in talking/Possibly providing you some content. Pretty much every acquaintance/friend I have begs my ass to write a biography because my life's been straight up fucking wild according to them lol. To myself, it feels pretty vanilla, but *shrugs* I may be too close to it to be objective. Anyways... here's a little about me. I'm nonbinary/pansexual (They/Them), and have been a punk rocker for decades... I mean Jeeezus, I've probably identified with the punk scene since I heard my first punk song at 6 years old ('You'll never walk alone' By 'The Adicts'). Since I first heard that Buzzing, rebellious riff with those empathetic, raw lyrics... I was fucking hooked man... I've been... VERY active in the political punk scene, Volunteer works etc (FNB, Antifa, etc) Been at everything from... ...The No blood for oil/No war in Iraq protests, to Occupy and Antifa/anti-Trump/protect-Trans-kids/Stop-killing-queerfolk-for-thebillionth-fucking-time-PLEASE-FOR-FUCK-SAKE, etc and so on. I've also Played in various bands in the NYC scene (RHPR (Queens Punk Scene), NYHC Scene, CBGBs, etc... and I've also been privy to the WEIRD fucking claim by these imbeciles online that conservatism is somehow now the real punk rock movement? Which... firstly, makes zero sense.... Especially if one knows anything about punk rock... but like... with everything to do with 'fascism', the movement continuously attempts to absorb countercultural movements, claim they were already aligned ideologically, and then dump them when they're no longer convenient. It's fucking WILD how Umberto Eco's 'Ur fascism' and Karl Marx's economic Philosophy can somehow STILL... well over a century in Marx's case (And a bit over a quarter century in Eco's case) predict/prophesize virtually everything Fash do... right down to some dipshit on the internet attempting to absorb a countercultural movement in order to bolster their own movements claims to relevancy. it goes to show that good theory is worth its weight in gold regarding prediction of our oppositions tactics. Oh and a beligerant, self indulgent sidebar if I may... lol. I fucking DARE these hateful pieces of shit claiming that 'conservatism is the new punk rock' to go to ONE fucking punk show in the real world (Specifically in NYC... I know a few spots), and spout their nonsense to a room full of people who have zero issue beating the shit out of a fascist lol. *ahem*... Anyyyscrew... where was I? OH! So yeah, I've been in the punk scene virtually forever, and I'm an artist who's going to be focusing more on physical media due to the onset of this dystopian AI bullshit which has all but destroyed the passion for art among an entire generation coming up. My art is becoming more hostile (Ie; contains far more of my own ideologies and although this makes it a bit less marketable/shoots myself in the foot financially... I'm unapologetic about it... and I have a 'fuck it' attitude regarding my art as always... I mean... I make what I make. If i didn't make what I make... then it wouldn't be MY work... it'd be some kitschy hallmark bullshit indicative of the unfortunately all too common goal for people to utilize their art as a vehicle for wealth rather than art as a vehicle for a higher level of communication... to communicate something beyond words... beyond the individual... So anyways lol. I'd be super fucking down to talk at some point. I can't promise I'll be interesting lol, But I can promise I'll be myself.
