I recently found your videos and have already watched most of them already. Love them all! So much great info. What size Kraft paper flower sleeves do you use for cut flowers? I saw on another site they used 18 x 18”. Do I need to order more than one size for cut flower bouquets for market? Thanks for all you do!

Q? Easiest way to find a plug dealer? I googled and farms and supplies came up like home depot or flower supplies or such. Thank you❤

I need help 😫 I'm planning a cut flower garden for hobby as well as to supplement our small hobby farm business. But I have no clue how to start with figuring out how big to make my garden, how much to plant etc. I've collected seeds (the fun part) but now I'm so overwhelmed, I'm frozen, and I can't figure out how to compute how large a space I need my husband to til.

What germinating & soil mix do you use? I’m have difficulty finding a germination mix as well as bulk vermiculite

Honestly, I'm not picky when it comes to brand.. I often just use what is available. The Sungro brand is often easily available to me from our local growers' co-op.

Thank you for mentioning Farmer Bailey. I had thought they required a business license, so glad you clarified that! They have a few things that would be nice to source in bulk next year! Great video, thanks for sharing!

I know, it’s a bit confusing because the homepage forces you to create an account, but even my first year growing flowers (when it was just a hobby for me) I was able to get an order from Farmer Bailey 😀 Best of luck!!

I'm still binge watching your videos, I'm addicted! Happily! I love your information! So, I've been contemplating starting a cut flower field, but after listening to all the videos, which has kept it real, I'm undecided It's hard work and i don't know if I can do it with a full time job. I was hoping I could do it as a side hustle for a couple of years before retiring. Thanks for all the time you've taken to do the videos!

So thrilled you're here hanging out with us online! Flower farming is hard work but I think you're on the right path- starting as a side hustle will allow you time to experiment + learn the in's and outs of growing flowers without putting too much pressure on yourself. I grew flowers for many years while also having a full-time job and it wasn't until recently that I made the jump to full-time flower farming. Wishing you the best of luck!

Just found your page. Great information. Could you possibly put links to the various places you purchase from (besides the Amazon products) such as Bailey Farmer? I couldn’t find a retail site for them, other than for flower farmers. Thank you.
@twosistersflowerfarm2 жыл бұрын
Hi Terry! Yes, I will work on updating links for everyone. In reference to Farmer Bailey specifically- the website is www.farmerbailey.com … the home page will prompt you to create an account. They just want you to create an account with an email and password - I assure you it’s their retail store and you don’t need to be a business to create account/order from them. Hope this helps ✨😀

@twosistersflowerfarm2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to watch our video! I don't use too much post flower food or hydrators. I really believe that long vase life can be achieved by cutting flowers fresh, at their optimum stage of harvest. Plus, we don't hold flowers for more than 24 hours post-harvest. But if you're interested in flower care products, I have used the brand 'Chrysal' before and had really great luck with their products. Hope that helps!
