Everything you create is so lovely and truly exquisite. You love all of the things that God creates and incorporate them into your magnificent wreaths. The items you select are replicas of everything God places in our world and you take great joy in gathering them up in your young arms, smelling then and then giving us your radiant smile of approval. Have not seen blueberries of that quality in any of the stores or Amazon so they were my favorite...I would definitely pay the price for them...... I am working on my spring wreath for my front door and it’s the lambs ear, peony and lavender...haven’t gotten the peony’s yet because I can’t decide on white(or cream) or a peach color...got the lavender from Walmart, the lambs ear is the garland from Hobby Lobby 50% off and of course I just keep reusing my grape vine form. I loved all the greenery you got....so many of the really nice leaves you can’t get retail.

Michaels currently has a large amount of spring flower on sale for 80% off. I bought 15 bushes of pansies for this spring. You can tell I’m an optimist, I’m 84 and just finished beating cancer. Your videos are very helpful. One question, do you make a sample ,take it’s picture,then copy the wreath you have made and ship it, or do you ship the original one, leave the description listed, and make others to sell when someone else orders😢 it again? okay, one more question, I want to offer free shipping and a ten percent off. How do I figure the shipping cost so I can add it to the billing ticket Etsey makes? You are so much like a younger me, I feel likeI know you. I opened a pet shop in 1957. That’s great! I ship the original one I made and then make the rest to order. You can use a shipping calculator and use some zip codes that are far away from you. That will help you get an average of what you will have to pay for shipping. Don’t buy labels straight from the post office or a shipping company, though. You’ll save money going through Etsy or another 3rd party like Parcel Path or Pirate Ship. Those are free to use too!

@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been happy with the grapevines. Sometimes there are some that aren’t great, but overall I’ve been happy. I haven’t found any that are better at least. Yes, I do buy a lot of bushes too. Most of the stems I buy are considered bushes because they have multiple stems on them. That’s definitely something I look for that exact reason of being a better value.

You just need a tax ID or seller’s permit. I wouldn’t recommend it when you’re first starting out because you have to buy larger quantities. I’d recommend starting smaller by shipping sales from places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels. That’s what I did for many years with great success before I got into wholesale. Hi Jenny! I'm new to wreath-making. You mentioned that one of the florals you ordered was a rubbery material that would be good for an outdoor wreath. Are there specific materials that you should or should not use for outdoor wreaths?
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Most of the plastics are great for outdoor use. Really, most of the flowers and greenery are pretty durable. Some will fade in the sun, so I always recommend they’re hung in a covered area that has some shelter from the elements. But a few of the things I opened here just seemed extra durable. I hope that makes sense. You can kind of just tell when you touch each item.
@Kat-fg4gh3 жыл бұрын
@@JennysWreathBoutique that does make sense with feeling more durable. I've seen greenery that has that more rubbery/plastic feel, but most of the flowers I've seen at Michael's are silk/fabric or real-touch (which I think are also some sort of fabric). Some companies online advertise "all-weather" artificial flowers or protector spray (or even using WD-40)for silk flowers - which will obviously make the process more expensive. Wondering if you have tried any of these things? (And btw, thanks so much for your videos and your transparency - I'm learning a lot and enjoying this new hobby!)
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried anything special and I have great luck with just the normal florals outside. I have had a wreath survive a snowstorm and the wreath looked good as new after the snow melted off the wreath. So I think even the normal florals do just fine in my experience.

Hi Liz! I use several different sizes, but mostly 14” and 18”. If I’m using an 18” grapevine, I’ll ship through FedEx instead of USPS because it’s more affordable for the larger sizes. My most expensive usually costs around $30 to ship across the country.

I don’t think I’ll do a whole video on it. I have zero worries about it haha. It’s very rare that I use it because so many things go on sale all the time. Maybe the things that never went on sale will start going on sale every now and then. Wouldn’t that be great?? But they’re a private business doing what they think is best for their company, and I fully support that. If they stop doing half off on their florals every other week, I’d definitely start worrying though!

I typically get the more real feeling berries, but most of those are still foam underneath the outer layer (I found that out by accidentally stepping on one 🤦🏻♀️). The blueberries I got made out of rubber, though, and are VERY high quality and realistic.

Sullivans website says not for resale. Why?

Have you ever purchased from Afloral? Online, they have some beautiful flowers but wasn't sure of quality once you actually receive it.
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are beautiful. I haven’t bought from them yet just because the prices are so high, even with their “wholesale” option. I may one day. It’s VERY tempting.

How do you know what to charge per wreath?

I just thought of another question. 🤣 I think you mentioned in the beginning that you need a business license or something to buy from wholesalers. How do you go aboit doing that?
@gert2493 жыл бұрын
In Illinois you get your license from the state income tax office.

Yes, exactly what they said 👆🏼

Love Pioneer. However they take a month to deliver.
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
I think Select Artificials took about a month as well. Sullivan’s was the fastest for me.

Have looked at Greenery Market in PA. I love there stuff too. Usually good quality and you don't have to have a wholesale license to buy from them free shipping for orders over 100

Hey Jenny I’ve been a subscriber for a few months and I’m a wreath maker also your definitely right Michaels has the best prices in grapevines have you ever heard of Sims pottery they have great prices but the only thing that bothers me about them is you won’t know anything is out of stock til you get your order but for greenery ,flowers, and ribbon it’s a great place anyway thanks for showing your haul love the blueberries
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for being a subscriber 😄. Yes, I have heard of them, but I haven’t bought from them or looked into them much, but they are on my list to look into more. Wow that would be very frustrating not know if something is out of stock until you get your order! Do you mean when your order arrives or when it’s placed? The list I’m working on will continue to be updated as I learn more. Hopefully I’ll have it ready soon! Thanks for watching!

@@JennysWreathBoutique it is frustrating lol but you don’t know til it ships they will send a email saying what your new total is but all the ribbon you see at craft outlet , the wreath shop and many others sims pottery sells much cheaper I actually think they are a supplier for some of these sellers they also have two different warehouses in the us you can go into to shop one in North Carolina and the other one is Georgia And they offer free shipping after you purchase a certain amount

I find Michaels ribbon is ridiculously priced compared to Hobby Lobby. And you are correct their sales are not as good anymore.
@JennysWreathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Yes I completely agree about the ribbon. However, I’ve found the quality of some of the Michaels ribbon to be a little better. A lot of it is the same though. You have to wait for a 60% off sale at Michaels to get their ribbon.

Darice was a total loss. Their main headquarters was not far from me. I have been finding things at Ollie's. If you have one nearby it is great on seasonal

@@JennysWreathBoutique Thank you so much Jenny for answering my question, I was having anxiety as I was trying to find floral/wreath licensing in my country. Thank-you for your business inspiration. Hobby lobby taking advantage of people in this pandemic because there’s no more coupons ...who’s gonna buy at full price ....no one☝️ ... too bad they lost me as a customer and I will be going to the websites instead 😊

Their florals are half off every other week! I almost never used the coupon anyway.
