Hyuji is the scout cat of your kitty colony. Cats move in colonies, and they DO rely duties on each other. One cat might be more of the scout/explorer, other the one that hunts the most, and so on. While domestic, cats keep this kind of thinking. More than two cats count as a colony. So he is just exploring and scouting. If there was anything new/a threat/other cat, he will make sure the other kitties know right away.

montravel Likely an old break that healed oddly. Very common in multiple cat households since the kitties like to bicker at times or seen often in rescues.

Yea a break is probably likely. But one of my short haired cats has a really long tail and she walks around with a cute little upside down U shape when she is calm or mildly curious. It goes straight up when she is excited, lol. Hers isn't a break though (asked vet), just an odd habit of hers.

montravel She did do an earlier video about it. Apparently it got twisted in utero, which happens with large litters especially (it gets a bit crowded in there). So he was just born with a weird tail.

Perhaps you can take him on a leash to explore the yard a bit? My cats love to explore our backyard and enjoy all the scents. We leash trained ours until they knew the door of the house meant safety and knew the boundaries. Now they happily sleep on the porch, sunbathe in the grass, and drink from the birdbath lol. They don't ever leave the yard, we let them outside for a bit each day and supervise. They really enjoy it.
