@@Daud76 yes... It was the combination of games with own imagination. With no internet around, as a kid, rumors were the gold at the end of the rainbow. Ahhh... Good times! Games are for me from PS2 (with exceptions) to the past consoles.

@@DarthPferd Internet was and is a curse for gamers, as anyone can look up a solution to a puzzle. I first started on a borrowed Atari, then cousins gave my brother a Vic-20, then a ZX Spectrum and finally my father bought an IBM. All long before modems were popular.

I loved it too! Sadly the only KZbin video I found of that version has the KZbinr guy spewing useless commentary like, "there's a little crook dude running across the screen.". Like no shit, we see that too.

Personally, I prefer Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego on Amiga. At least you can see their faces. And the difficulty is toned down considerably as well.

I think the swedes @ br0derbund should have gotten this released on facebook as a social game... Carmen Sandiego could actually be captured on the 50-51st try on the where in the USA version... anyway... I think the World version is more challenging- as it would really have incorporated some of our FB friends- around the world. new doesn't necessarily mean- improved... I think all rights holders should get their pay if this ever does get released- as a facebook- social game. It's a defunct game now- but just wanted to say that Carmen- was actually someone you could capture after- so many attempts. da-da-da-da-da da-da-da da-da-da!!! da-da-da-da-da da-da-da!!! -J
