Hi Sandra!!!! Welcome 🙂🍾... well, I know a lot about the Desert 🌵... (I’ve done 12 projects in Vegas). So, getting in touch with a local outdoor guys to help you out is my best advice. You have to be very specific because of what can and can’t survive there! It also is a matter of where? Flagstaff, Sedona, Phx area or Tucson and the local guys there will be your best resource. Then drive neighborhoods take pictures and literally go ask the owners who did their outdoors! 🙂

And make sure you’ll have some shade...build a pergola if you have to! But you’ll LUV the nights, so make sure you have lots of levels of lighting, string lights, hurricanes, outdoor pendants, etc. be sure and send the before and after’s to us so we can share it with the club!😄

Hi Lisa, I did use your code for The Inside and they only shipped partial items and overcharged for the one pillow that was delivered. Based on their Facebook page, this is a common issue and have tons of disputed transactions. I’d suggest that you reconsider being an ambassador for this company.

Great question! And thanks for the kind words, it makes me really happy that I can help and we can have a little fun at the same time! High quality artwork is a little harder online, as there's so much poster art/cheap giclees, etc. I have done some nice things through Art.com, their blk/wht photography is pretty good. I've got some artists that have contacted me recently to do specialty stuff, so I'll add them and this in to the FAQ video coming soon!

Jody Did It!! Hello Judy check out Ebay - search the art you are looking for ie.antique / old/ oil paintings / vintage / gold vintage frame 🖼 art. Water colours large oil paintings/ sea & shop/ garden/ abstract/ etc... then follow the art auction houses that seem to have the quality prices that fir you... if you follow a painting that interests you the. You will receive notifications as the sale gets closer to bidding & you can bid or not yo will still receive the information on what the painting sold for. I have bought paintings from USA Europe & England oil & watercolours antique & modern lots of fun & very exciting unique art 🖼 work . It’s interesting to discover what your likes are may surprise yourself. Nudes, flowers, sea scapes... it’s not a store approved generic taste you go with your gut & trust yourself! Go for it!

Jody, a good tip, if you live near an art college (or a small community college with an art class) is their end of year show. The Art is usually for sale, affordable, original and you may have also had the pleasure of meeting the artist. Don't be intimidated, buy it if you love it. Artists are always looking for support/Patrons and you'd really be paying the creator. Furthermore many artists themselves have 'online' shops and they do limited edition prints of their works to make them more affordable.

Ok, so here is one...Real Burning fireplace...or... electric, my husband and I are paralyzed about this one, he wants real, l believe electric, what do you suggest? Pros, cons, imagery please? How do you hide equipment for the LG Gallery TV that you suggested we look into, if we have no choice but to hang it from the fireplace since it can look like art, it should be ok now? Lol! Hi Lisa, this is a great video. Not that we want to focus on the negative in life, but interior furnishing can be a huge investment, and sadly there seem to be some brands out there that don't give you a lot of bang for your buck. For example, I was awed by Restoration Hardware furniture I saw in the showroom but have read so much negative feedback online about their quality and workmanship, not to mention you're paying top dollar for Made in China goods. A furniture store I buy from was telling me that a lot of their customers have been complaining about Caracole's quality control. Perhaps you could share some tips of what brands or stores people should steer away from?

Hey Ryan- I love RH and have been purchasing their products for years. Re: quality is a mix bag... large retailers like RH source their product line from everywhere, China, US, Italy etc... it just depends upon the specific products. That probably answers your second question too. But, thanks for the suggestion and I’ll try to include ways to steer you guys away from problematic suppliers.

Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for all your amazing tips. You are one of the best interior design channels if not the best in my opinion. I have a grey sectional from ikea, not the best one, but I can't change it. I will probably buy next year a new sectional but keep it grey. Light one afraid me 🤣 Like light sofa are very trendy, I can't find good tips on how to design an open concept living room (LR, DR, Kitchen) with a dark grey sofa and white walls. LOVE your videos in part because you are so classy but down to earth! My question is what to do when you've made a mistake with a couch and can't change it right away? How do you decorate around it to minimize it, but maximize everything else? THANKS!

Shoot, no way to return it? I'd line it up against a wall, and make the art above and the accent pillows really interesting, and maybe a throw, here's the key, all in a similar color tone. This will create a unified statement that makes the sofa less important. Hope this helps!

I mentioned in a previous video comment that I moved to an updated Craftsman style 1960’s ranch, and I’m having a tough time with the living room. Hardly anything I own looks right to me in there, although I painted it (He had all different dark colors in every room), left some of the white crown molding on top, or made it more sleek. I can’t even stand going in there! 😢Thank you! 💕

Hello 🌈 I’m glade you mentioned Johnathan Adler I have bought many of his pieces on line & delivered free - his Talitha collection is gorgeous heirloom furniture ( silver) as well as his upholstery furniture beautiful!! Colours + the sizes floor space it takes up is smaller floor space than others designers so the furniture fits mcm 60s 70s houses & apartments well. If you need a statement large piece he has this also he’s really my favourite - adds glamour & whimsy quality + mix’s well with a variety of styles. I will add knoll - wait for the 15% sales Jewelery investment for the home my favourite Platner chairs. Sarrienne tables & mies van der rhoe.
