China's ruling elite is meeting in Beijing for a long-delayed policy gathering called the Third Plenum. No big announcements are expected to reform the world's second largest economy. Xi Jinping is likely to focus on stability in the face of a real estate crisis, high youth unemployment and surging government debt.

A few days ago, India airlines advertised to hire new staff. 25,000 employed young men show up to apply. A private company advertised to hire 10 new staff. 1600 young unemployed men showed up for the application.

China’s growth 5% per year of a $18-19 trillion economy is in fact huge, this is equivalent of China creates an economy of entire Turkey or the Netherlands per year, year after year. At the rate of 5%, China’s total economy will double in 14yrs to $38 trillions, whilst the inflation is low. Meanwhile in EU or the US, the growth is 2-3%, but the inflation is 5.5%. Right but european economies are already rich and completely developed, the low growth rate is bad for them but not as bad as it is for the chinese economy. You're not even a high income nation yet, chinese people are still poor, your domestic consumption is so bad that you depend on exports for the most part, because chinese family can't afford the products they manufacture. In reality, staggering public debt and a sinking economy are much more likely than robots taking over. Even if automation could fix it, the Chinese population will never be rich when it's based on cheap manfuacturing. The USA will be the wealthiest country in 2050 and 2100.
