I wish I had known this last year... I had my chin and sides lasered and about 3 months later I started growing hair where I didn’t like the front of my chin under my lip and even my cheeks... thankfully I’m getting electrolysis done... I have pcos so it made EVERYTHING worse... but thank God I found my angel and she takes VERY good care of me!!!

My hair removal went wrong. 😭I foolishly used an epilator on some of my chin and now I have some dark coarse hairs. 😭 It’s really affected my mental health. 😢 I had a few finer but darker hairs nothing much and now I’ve made it worse. 😭 Luckily I didn’t use it all over my chin. I am absolutely traumatised. 😢I’m starting electrolysis next year feb/March time in hopes that the problem can be reversed. 🤞🏻 I would do it sooner but I still have a month left of accutane to go. I’m so upset and angry with myself for doing this. 😭 It was purely from lack of knowledge. 😭 On the internet it said it was fine to epilate there and it will make the area “hair free and smoother.” And “won’t make hair grow back thicker.” 😭 I am such a gullible fool. 😢😢😢😢 Your videos give me so much comfort. ❤ Thank you so much for making them. 🙏🏻💖😢

Thank you SO much for this video. I needed to hear this. I appreciate you understanding how time consuming. How embarrassing. How exhausting this road can be. I have been dealing with dark coarse hair on my chin for so long and I’m over my hair removal routine. My skin is irritated. I’m irritated and I’m over it. Starting electrolysis tomorrow! Thankfully we are wearing masks now too and can comfortably let it grow for appointments. You have a sweet voice. Nice and calm demeanor. You are beautiful inside and out. I can sense such good energy from you ❤️

I did laser for 10 years didn’t work forever…it reduced my hair growth but needs constant maintenance. Finally gave up and I’m doing electrolysis every month I go with a full growth without plucking which is super hard but I know it’ll be worth it 8-10 months from now!! So far it’s going well!

@@saroashaengineer540 I know that feeling! It was so hard mentally going for my first electrolysis appointment. I had to grow out my chin hair and it was really hard mentally. A few times I almost gave up and shaved I even wore the mask around my chin around my husband! I went to the appointment and to me it was really uncomfortable. Even with numbing cream. I just couldn’t go back. I got through the first session but barely. I should really tough it out but I don’t think I can. So I’ll just have to find other options. Thank you for mentioning laser! Wish you the best of luck with electrolysis! ❤️

You are so right about the laser on face being a bad idea. Been there done it!! Now I'm looking at electrolysis to get rid of the big black patch that appeared on my cheek after lasering a few sparse darker hairs. 😭 Laser fantastic on body though..legs and bikini. Amazing.

Thank you for sharing the information. I'm currently taking the electrolysis treatment on chin area. I have grey hair on my chin. I have to go to my electrologist after every two weeks on regular basis. I have done 4 session in 2 months but my hair grows back exactly after 2 weeks of the treatment. There is no reduction in hair growth. Can you plz help me where the problem is and how long does it take to get satisfied results? Also tell me if I need to shave few days before going for the electrolysis? Plz answers my queries. Many thanks.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Do you do marathon sessions for larger areas like the thighs?
@ElectroYogi5 жыл бұрын
we can, but usually tap out at 2-2.5 hour sessions at any given time. and i'd say that the thighs/full leg is one of the few areas that if you have dark hair, I truly recommend lasering for 6-8 sessions before beginning electrolysis, as it's one of those areas where laser is very effective, and then we can finish the job for you permanently thereafter. hope this helps!

ElectroYogi Electrolysis thank you! I did a few sessions of laser and it worked well for my lower leg but seemed to have caused more/darker growth on my thighs.
@ElectroYogi5 жыл бұрын
@@st6218 yeah, i totally understand. if that hair was lighter, it could have been triggered by the laser to grow darker and coarser. Getting older also paves the way to what we call the 'bikini creep' where the bikini line goes down the leg! ;). It is probably time for you to have electrolysis to finish the thighs. Best of luck to you! nicole

hi 👋 what is THE best numbing cream to use BEFORE having the procedure done?
@ElectroYogi4 жыл бұрын
the best is if you can get a prescription for a compounded formula from your dermatologist or gynecologist. otherwise, 5% lidocaine is probably as good as you'll find.

YES! It is a very common area to have treated and is soooooo wonderful to have done because you'll never have to worry about that again! It's also usually forever done in less than a year.

I have to shave (and then pluck leftover hair) every day. This is on the upper lip and chin area. I plan on getting electrolysis but the most I can let it grow is coming into the appointment on the second day of not shaving or plucking. Due to my work schedule. Will it still work but just take longer to?
@ElectroYogi5 жыл бұрын
understood. then just shave 1-2 days ahead of the appointment. but remember, the tweezing is creating more hair! you have to compromise with the process and allow it to work by not doing the behaviors that exacerbate hair growth. tweezing is a huge culprit in that, as is any method that yanks out your hairs, particularly on the face.

Would you recommend electrolysis for the back or chest or first start off with laser? My partner is curious as he’s pretty hairy.

Hiya! I have hair all over my breasts and my skin gets irritated easily. Would you recommend electrolysis? The hairs are fine and I’m a black woman but the hair isn’t noticeable unless you really look.
@ElectroYogi4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I would recommend electrolysis on those. But the key is you'll want to shave them perfectly off about 4 days before you have an electro treatment. Why? Because we want those hairs to be in their optimal stage of life (actively growing) to do permanent destruction to those follicles... to save you time, money, and pain. Hope this helps! I have other videos talking about the life stage of a hair and why that matters. Have a beautiful day!

Can electrolysis be done on the face even if the hair is like peach fuzz?
@ElectroYogi4 жыл бұрын
that is a great question! Check out my video about peach fuzz on the face! I do have a client whom we have eliminated almost ALL the peach fuzz on her entire body and we have been working on that for about 10 years.... so, can it be done? yes! Is it crazy time consuming and (IMHO) unnecessary? Yes also! :). Hope this helps. nicole

is there any absolute contraindication to electrolysis
@ElectroYogi4 жыл бұрын
hi tijuna, I may not understand exactly what you mean, but if you're asking whether there *could be problems with electrolysis, the answer is yes... in the wrong hands, with the wrong settings, with poor aftercare on a client's part, with over treatment, and many more things. But all of that is very important to talk about with an electrologist before starting the process to make sure you know they are qualified and will take care of you and your wonderful skin!

Can this be done on your precious private parts? A Brazilian hair removal?
@ElectroYogi4 жыл бұрын
It can. Not all electrologists work on this area for full brazilian, and the work is very time consuming and difficult ergonomically so the rates are higher for this.
