Definitely keep the turtle shell. I once found the bottom of a cookie jar at one GW and the lid at another GW. It was a sears and roebuck frog cookie jar and sold for $240. Huge score.

@13:29 there was a little green glass shot glass or toothpick holder. My great grandmother gave me one of those when I was just a child I loved it and used to drink from it like it was a root beer mug.💗

OMG...I have the complete tortoise. Same color as yours. Made in Portigual. It's unique as one of the feet is missing the stripes on it. Like you I fell in love with it. I also purchased mine at the Goodwill. I'm in Ohio...Cincinnati area. 🐢 ; D

You wished for a Turtle Body... My Mother used to tell me " Be careful what you wish for, you might regret it " ! Glad you saved the turtle shell, it was cute. Some people collect turtle shells. No one has to know its missing the bottom 1/2. Glad to see you back Noah !! :~)
