Where is my Sportster battery tender cable?

So, one of my friends who also owns a Harley wanted to hook a battery tender up to his Sportster but didn't know to look to see if it already had one. This quick and simple video will show you where the factory included battery tender cable is located and what you can do to make it easier to use.

I didn’t have are could not find the darn hook up cord so I took the seat off and used the seat rod as the ground and clipped the battery with the clamps. So the video did still end up helping so thank you.

My battery box is super tight so I use a flathead and a soft microfibre cloth wraped around the screw driver and pop it off, it would literally be impossible to do by hand. Im glad its tight because I hear some guys have pannels that are too lose and fall off all the time!

Can I directly connect battery tender to that ? Or do I need to look for positive and negative ports as well ? Mine is 2020 model sportster … pls help

What year is this Sportster? I have a 2018 Sportster 48 and this battery setup looks similar.

No. To get enough charge would take like a day. I have jumped from my car battery. Probably not recommend.
