Same here. waiting for the bug fixes I haven't played the game for more than an hour and now I was waiting for PF and crop rotation to release. personally way better things to add than the occasional tornado. I suspect MaizePlus will still be a year out but no open answer from Giants about what's happening with PF when so many people expect it to return is weird. I thought they were a way more open company than other game devs I know. but this and also removing the mod testing list to not hear anyone complain and reading some developer left Giants after FS22 because they made seasons basegame and "dumbed it down" to statisfy all the players instead of making something great and adding the turn off and on sliders like we have for stones and plowing. this might mean this will be the last farming game I play. Hope I am wrong though but the amount of comments saying the game is a step backward is a sign at least.

Thanks for the video Farmer Cop. I hope Precision Farming or something similar comes to FS25 as I always played with it enabled. It felt like you were contributing more to the success of your crops, yield and success than the formulaic sequence for all crops in base game.

I feel exactly the opposite. Precision Farming makes the game MORE formulaic since it makes one very specific "correct" way to do field prep to get the environmental score.

I understand the original project for Precision Farming was licensed and funded externally to GIANTS and they collaborated to get it into the game, but there's no reason they can't do a basegame update or their own free DLC that adds some kind of similar realism aspects to the game regarding soil types, fert / lime requirements, etc and have Lizard branded equipment for sampling, scanning and weed targeting.. The new Lizard Environmental Soil Sampler, because sometimes LESS is more!! 😂 The exciting new Lizard Enhanced Weed Destroyer, for those times when farming needs to get a bit LEWD.. maybe.. 🤣 Given the depth (pun intended) of the new ground deformation system, the way it calculates everything could even lend itself to some kind of soil compaction mechanic too, so plowing or deep subsoiling are required periodically to counter any yield reducing effects or potential damaged crop areas on a field. Whether it's a separate DLC / mod or part of the basegame I think it's something they really need to look into adding, and for those that don't want that level of realism a simple off switch (or not activating the mod) would be fine.

TLDW: We don't know if it's coming to FS25. There may or may not be licensing issues with JD that may delay or prevent Precision Farming by Giants, we may be dependent on modders to port the functionality over. Nobody truly knows if or when its releasing except for Giants.

If you watch the video, you'd see that described as one of the most likely blockers and reasons why we may be dependent on modders to give us this functionality in FS25.

Giants always released PF after the game. In FS22 it was launched on April 19th so about 6 months after the game was launched. My bet is sometime around spring/summer is when we will see it for 25 if Giants is doing it again.

Agronomy has been around for ages. I have no idea what kind of deal Giant made, but precision farming/ precision agriculture is everywhere; no one owns the basic ideas of soil testing. Colleges worldwide teach using tech to improve crops. The equipment might be licensed, but it's not the only game in town, and unless they signed the worst contract ever, there's nothing stopping them from using similar equipment. Who wouldn't want to fly a drone their fields for better crop data and production?

As a FS player with over 10k hours playing across PC and PS since FS15, it's frustrating how they're "excused" for the flaws and omissions in new releases. I really love the whole franchise, but the "niggling" issues like PF missing, achievements being pure cut and paste from 22, no PS5Pro enhanced support, completely garbage self-developed multiplayer system, I could go on and on.

Question I find myself having, and not seeing any results when searching online is: Does weather effects have other important impacts on different farming activities? Rain is the only one I know about, as when you harvest while it's raining you get a warning message about it. Does Rain do anything to any other steps? Cloudy better for anything? Sunny better for anything?

That title is definitely a good question... 👌🏻 Never saw a FS launch as bad as this one. Yes, we had a good graphic and lightning bump from FS22 to FS25, but we lost a lot of gameplay features, like P.F., lost a lot of tools and machinery, and for last, a lot of fabulous mods became broken... 😢 Anyway great video as always sir FarmerCop! ✌🏻

To be honest, the only thing you had to do in PF is making soil Samples. After that the machines do everything for you automatic. It dosent realy change much.

P f. Used it since it released in fs 19. And used it ever since. Still waiting to make a return in fs25. With a handful of other mods I truly hope that will make its return. What i do miss in fs25 is that you dont see the color change on the mini map. Light and dark bleu for fertilizing fields.

PF was brought into the game thanks to funding by the EU mainly due to the number of farmers IRL play farm sim - the last official figure I saw was 49% (that was carried out by a real data and polling company).

My memory might be failing me in my old age, but I am pretty sure Precision Farming wasn't available from day one of FS22. I remember being disapointed it wasn't out and then I think it dropped 2 - 3 months or so after FS22s release. I'm hoping it is released for FS25 coz it is such a great DLC!

This may sound dumb but idk who to ask, and I watch all your videos. This doesn’t apply to this video it was just your newest. Ever since I started FS25 the interior gauges are blurry. I’ve played with graphic settings and nothing. I was hoping the update would fix it but it didn’t. It happens with every piece of equipment. Any ideas? Also another question. I planted trees in my base field. They never grew except in 1 field. Now they are in the way. Is there a way to mass delete these glitched trees?

25 really is taking me some time to get into, the physics are way different than 22. I had to turn the steering speed up to 200% to make the vehicles “feel” more drivable. Another thing is I’m very OCD about the way the ground looks, in 25 the plowing looks hideous, and the way the AI worker works drives me insane lol. I don’t want headlines I want all up and downs, so I just use the lane assist and do it myself 😅😅😅

I found out that there is a limit to the size of a field that the AI worker will work on. What I don't know how to do yet is to set up multiple harvesters on the one field. Not sure if you can do an indepth tutorial on the ai worker and its true limits.

I just let one AI do the headlands then drop another on the opposite side of the field. It sometimes works. I have had 3 workers going by starting one in the middle. The next time they follow the first or drive around cleaning up corners and wasting time. Why can't the work with the Courseplay people and get something done.

If this makes a comeback, i HOPE! they have added P K and S, and for the crops to use diffrent amounts of the diffrent values. And so that we have to use diffrent mixes of fertilizers and not have one type of fertilizer to max up the values perfect, to meet the values of diffrent crops. It will add so much more without being crazy complicated. I really dont see why this should not be possible, since adding P K and S is pretty much just copy paste the way N work already.

There really is nothing stopping giants from implementing something similar or more realistic compared to what we got. It does not need to be exactly the same, so this is all on giants. They could have made it, but they did not because that would eat their bottom line, and we cant have that.

I was hoping that giants would at least incorporate the soil testing with only adding so much of things to the soils as to me that’s a huge part of crop farming in real life. Heck I would have been ok if they even just added a feature to control how much per acre was applied of fertilizer and lime. Still loving the game as it is, and a lot of upgrades from fs22. But still a few features I wish they would have put in

Precision farming for me is a must have as well, but the game is in a state where a precision farming update wouldn't be a great thing considering all the bugs still, logging is better in aspects and way worse in others, trees randomly getting stuck in terrain becoming a bouncing fritzing unmovable object, sometimes with huge trees you can't even remove the stumps with grinders/mulchers, randomly equipment gets stuck for no reason, literally had an AI worker harvesting a second field while I cultivated and seeded another field only to find out that for 30mins the AI was stuck on some invisible ground mesh, I had to stop AI reverse the rig, detach implement reattach and reset AI and then all was well, but that was 30mins that field would've been finished and could work on another field or project, the JD skidder cannot hold on to trees at all, if you full lock the jaws it just goes skitzo everywhere and almost makes the skidder fly off to the moon, the JD feller buncher jas enough weight to it to handle big lodgepole pines, but 9 times out of 10 you'll get a fritz going on there as well and all the sudden rocking vigorously and uncontrollably until completely tipped over, have to reset machine and end up cutting the pine to size that can be carried manually, really disappointed at the some of the major steps backwards, feeling slightly scammed and ripped off, but otherwise it's ana absolutely beautiful game, they nailed it there, and the silage bunkers are awesome because of actual ground deformations it makes bunkers so much more realistic and satisfying to do, the lack of older equipment and direct drill planters and case equipment has me more than slightly upset, everything is to damn new, too damn expensive and sometimes to damn big to actually drive anywhere if you're not conscientious about location of starting your farming adventures, massive improvements are still needed before implementing any other systems into the game, this all reminds me a lot of diablo 4 release and to date issues that really shouldn't be issues anymore, like seriously what friggin year are we living in folks honestly, game developers apparently have huge problems with releasing good finished products anymore, it seems to be a cancerous trend everywhere and to me it's all literally just a scam, I love giants and farm sim games but how did we get to this point where new games are slightly worse off then the previous titles...???

Sounds like I am 100% not buying FS25 then. I actually won't play the game without Precision Farming, mostly because of the spot and spray thing which makes weeding much more reasonable and also doesn't waste fertilizer when you go over areas you have already sprayed. I really like the other aspects of it though and feel like they should really be base game mechanics for the most part. But yea reading the comments here it seems like FS25 is already a mess anyway, so I'll just skip it and look at the next one when it comes along.

Thing is that PF was kind of a cheat only that it’s more realistic. You use a lot less fertilizer and lime so your practically saving tons of money on certain crops
