We moved to CO due to the services that my son needs for Autism , It has not disappointed, the services, the resources , even Medicaid will cover things that regular insurance will never cover like music therapy, hippotherapy etc. my husband is retired military and we have TRICARE and with Medicaid now that he’s retired we have no issues with co-pays etc. Unfortunately FL or any southern state is not that supportive to disabilities , is great for retirees. Thank you for this great interview, I have not seen such an informative video regarding support in FL for Autism.

@@LIVINGINJACKSONVILLEFL Like you said housing here has gone up! We considered FL because we have family there but we would do anything to give our son the best opportunities, we have no family here but we are very happy with everything overall even the school district , We live in Colorado Springs, but watching this video give us some hope, maybe in a few years when my little guy doesn’t need as many therapies than we CAN consider FL and be closer to family. Once again thank you for the information! Is very helpful and who knows we might contact you to help us to find the perfect home for my family ! 😀

I live in central Florida and honestly I’m unhappy about the lack of schools they have for children on the spectrum. Public schools fail children on the spectrum. South Florida is doing fantastic they have so many private schools and autistic charter schools .

In FL we get aba, speech and OT however insurance doesn’t cover much and for families who don’t qualify for Medicaid for their child we are stuck paying high amounts in therapy! Personally FL is not a good state for special needs child. However there are worst states than FL

Does any insurance premium insurance cover all therapies? Or just cover some percentage? My son only has minor autism or even just delayed speech.

1) What kind of facilities are available if a person comes in L1 and his child (on L2) needs these facilities? 2) Therapy is very expensive and it seems aid is only available to low income groups but what about the middle class? I mean you can't be either Elon Musk or a poor lad! There are people stuck in the middle. 3) Narcotee: Does it have both in-house and clinical Therapy options? For a special needs child, Therapy is of utmost importance.
