Hey monkey I recently found the channel and i got to say if i never found this channel and the Sturgis series i would have never gotten into riding i just got my first bike (an Indian scout sixty) and dream of taking it to Sturgis in a few years when I figure out how to ride the damn thing. So thank you for making the type of content that can make someone like me who thought they would never ride a bike to wanting to ride one everywhere.

Hidden Gem if you enjoy quiet and want to be close to some of the best riding in the black hills. Last year I rented a cabin at the Custer KOA. Really nice campground and great staff. Cabin is only $120 or so a night and they don't raise rates for the rally. As of this morning, they have four left.

Days End Campground right off of Exit 30, it's a chill campground with it's own bar and food service of course. What's unique about Days End is that at the end of the day when you're spent from all the riding and walking and eating and damn near on your last grunt. I've stayed at the afore mentioned campground you named and the thing about Glencoe you could see it all, fuckin, fightin, general mayhem. As many times as I've been to Sturgis, at the end of the day I like to be comfortable and chill with my friends. 🙂

We snagged a cabin at the KOA at Palmer Gulch for about $800 total for four nights in a cabin between three of us. Prior to that it was a backyard in Sturgis proper for $20/night. As soon as they announced the dates for Sturgis, we booked it. Deadwood KOA was twice that cost. We thought a good ride every day on the way to somewhere and home would be a nice thing to try and since we’re not really drinkers, it wasn’t a big deal to have that evening ride home… Especially if it’s as freaking hot as it was last year

I don't think the now you could ride bitch on a Sportster for a thousand miles, even one of the new cushy ones. Even if you were duct-taped to the sissy bar, and gagged to keep you from whining for a thousand miles, you wouldn't make it. Not so much because the rider would kill you, but because the bike would kill itself. As far as whining, there's a sound that's the sound the Sporty makes as it dies.

In addition to your camp pass for the RV aren't you required to buy a wrist band for the concerts at the Chip?
@gregkanash365 Жыл бұрын
The camp pass is the wrist band. You cant get in past the gate without one. With a wrist band you can set up a tent pretty much anywhere you can find a piece of ground in the tenting areas. The wrist band is good for all concerts for the days you have the wrist band for. You can buy one day or the whole rally. The RV spot is a different fee for the space to park it.
@HDRider1601 Жыл бұрын
@@gregkanash365 that’s a 100% incorrect. I just got off the phone with the folks at the Chip. The RV pass only gets you the RV spot, it doesn’t get you into any concerts. You have to buy a wrist band for every day you want to go to a concert. I bought a concert pass for the entire rally for my wife and at $320 each. The folks at the Chip confirmed this morning that was the correct way to do it.

It is a little less expensive to get a VRBO than a hotel if you split it with friends. you can get a fantastic place with 4 bedrooms for 800-1400/night. It is so much more relaxing than a hotel if you have friends you can tolerate like that!
