Where is the blower fan on a Kia Soul?

This Kia Soul Came in with no Air Conditioning. Turns out it worked, but the fan wasn't pushing it out at the occupants intermittently! It had a bad fan motor, the repair will be in next weeks day in the shop videos!

There’s a Nissan with that setup. On the Nissan you remove the accelerator pedal assembly and you can usually sneak it out.

Yeah, I did one a little while back. Maybe 6-7 months ago in a video. Can’t remember the exact date. :)

Wow I gotta change the blower motor on my Dart and thought it was dumb placement where they put it... This makes the Dart look like a five star car 😂😂😂😂😂🫡

Just like a Nissan Sentra. Book time on Sentra is 4.5 hrs and supposed to remove dash. Except you can remove the peddle assembly and the BCM and get it out and back in, in just over an hour. Bet you can with that Kia too.

It is located behind the glove box if that is what you mean?

@JimmyMakingitwork I'm trying to find out if doing it myself with the 20$ walmart drop in is a good idea. I'm not trying to spend 3 hours replacing a bad part with a crap part

Seems like Kia and Nissan have something in common putting the blower motor in an impossible location in their cheap econoboxes. The versa blower motors are the worst gotta pull the pedal assembly and to get the assembly out you gotta remove the intermediate steering shaft from the column.

All Kia blower fans are located in the junk yards. The lifespan of a Kia is up when the blower fan quits.🤣

Say what you will about Kia/Hyundai, but I happen to think they are good vehicles. I have owned 3 since 2007. That was after I had a Honda CR-V that was a lemon buyback. I have had no major issues with any of the Kia's. Yes, some of them have issues, but I'll take a Kia or Hyundai any day before I'd ever drive another Honda or anything "American". I just put a blower motor in my buddy's 2010 Sonata with 183k miles on it and it was nothing like this Soul. It was right under the glove box and took 5 minutes to replace. I checked my 2017 Sorento and it is under the glove box as well.
