That is both funny and really stupid. Like here is the real questions. A…. Why didn’t Roxy get butterflix? Like…… hello? She is the fairy of animals and this is a animal and nature themed season with a animal and nature themed transformation. So, why didn’t Roxy get it? Especially since she was right there and she helped out during the fight! B….. Why does butterflix even exist? Like butterflix is a transform that allows them to connect with nature and the animals but we already had a nature themed transformation. Like Oh I don’t know…….. SOPHIX! Sophix is a transformation that was from season 4 and it was used only for 2 episodes. So why didn’t they just bring that back? Oh that’s right because the show seemed to forget that season 4 exists but not really. It feels like the show later on just remembers stuff from past seasons it wants to remember instead of remembering stuff that actually makes sense in the story. But anyway back on topic. We don’t need like a dozen nature themed transformations. Just use one and stick to it. Don’t create one and immediately go and create another one. But also they have Tynix which allows them to travel to mini worlds and talk to fairy animals and……. It’s basically Butterflix. It’s just Butterflix but with kinda better outfits and mini world travel. Tynix power is also time based. So when the girls use Tynix the time in there world slows down which is neat but it’s still basically butterflix. There just the same transformation just with a few differences. So we got two nature and animal themed transformations and we need that! Butterflix doesn’t need to exist. Just pick one or the other u can’t have both!

I remember Iginio saying he acknowledged the older fans' complaints. He said that Rainbow has to do that because the target age group of cartoons in general has become lower over the years. But the first seasons were fine for 6 year old me. It was like how a lot of Disney family movies are: they appeal to all ages in different ways. To me the fact that toddlers will watch everything you give them seems more likely to be the reason or excuse for the lazy writing. Rainbow simply isn't trying anymore. Oh, but sure they do remember what made the old seasons so great, because look, there's a flashback to Bloom at Pyros! It was as pathetic as the nostalgia bait in season 6. 😬

It's funny how Iginio tries to explain lazy writing and cheap quality of modern Winx by implying small girls are just too dumb to care but this show's numbers has never been this low while show like Miraculum is going strong for *checks* 7 years now and it's mainly thanks to fanbase consisting of both small kids, teens and adults. It's almost like being age appropriate doesn't collide with good writing and even the smallest children wants to watch stuff that takes them seriously as a viewer. I watched Winx since i was like 3 or 4 and i absolutely loved it while when trying to watch newest seasons with my 5 year old niece she got frustrated at the show and wanted it changed saying it's "dumb", it's so sad honestly because she enjoyed season 1-4 i played her.

@@papkinn Couldn't have said it any better. Personally, I'm not that much of a fan of Miraculous. I prefer the more season plot driven series, and Miraculous just has the same kind of plot each episode, which gets old pretty quickly. At least this changes in season 3 or 4. But this is just how I see it. But at least Miraculous has solid plots and not so much filler. In the modern seasons of Winx Club, there's too many plot holes and it's just too obvious how much filler moments there are made purely to be filler and make the episodes longer.

I'm not massive fan of it but i do recognize why it's popular and that it really tries to respect it's fans, their time and intelligence. It's just perfect show for a preteen and very small kid to enjoy together each one taking smth different out of it - preteen enjoying the story and small kid liking girl superhero being cool. There's really no reason why modern winx is so stupid especially when literal shows for toddlers nowhere near that level, i would much prefer to show my toddler Masha and the Bear than Winx at least first cartoon will teach them something.

Season 1: Bloom discovers she's a fairy and enters a magic school while dealing with three evil witches. Season 2: The Winx meet Aisha/Layla as while dealing with Lord Darkar as he tries to steal all the codex. Season 3: Bloom learns about her home planet while dealing with Valtor who's responsible for destroying Domino. And the Winx become full fledge fairies. Season 4: The Winx learn about the Earth fairies and search for the last one in Gardenia while saving her from the Wizards of the Black Circle. Season 5: Tritanus tries to overthrow the ocean. It's not the best plot since it's the first season Nick co-produced, but it had potential to be good. At least Harmonix was a beautiful transformation. Season 6: Barely much going on but there's a plot in there. The main villain was a joke as he gets defeated way too quickly. But hey, at least Bloomix was cool. Season 7: There is none.

The background for the Butterflix transformation as well as the dance sequence resembles that of the music video for K-pop group Rainbow's song "Sunshine" Also, according to Winx Club Wikia, it says that Roxy was intended to earn Butterflix during the planning stage but was later discarded, as seen in the game Winx: Magix Mayhem (finished before Nickelodeon had finished the scripts for season 7)

So when I finally had the opportunity, I think that my brain automatically went numb to protect me, but it still couldn't shield me of the cringe masculine scenes with the Specialists like in ep 4 and 10. I think I've said this before but I'll say it again: if they'd just made it so after enchantix, new transformations were for certain situations (like sirenix/harmonix being underwater, except that they used it all the time so...) and they just used magic winx and enchantix otherwise it would've automatically made the later seasons just slightly better lmao wait. tynax is a transformation to be small. But they could do that with enchantix????

One of my biggest problems with this season is the pacing. It takes WAY too long for the stakes to be raised. If this season were written like the previous ones, like, if the Trix were the main villains, the Trix would've had the fairy animal's power an episode or two before the Winx get their Tynix powers. It just doesn't feel like the magical universe is in danger. The pacing of each individual episode is also slow. I've skipped large sections of several episodes because they'd take the duration of an ENTIRE SONG to have the girls just fly around and look at their surroundings. The story would only take up 4-7 mins of the entire episode! It was so boring!

Also about the cages it would actualy been intresting if Butterflx allowed the Winx to time travel but in return weakened their powers, since it could have been a way to prevent anyone with Butterflx from mesing to badly with the timeline intentionaly or not, so if they do something bad they could be easly stopped by watever were the strongest faries at the time. The winx’s interactions with each other are so awkward, they sound like NPCs. The only thing recognizable about them are their character designs. When the Winx aren’t fighting or in conflict, their scenes are so empty and contrived. Season 7 is soooo baddd like wow. It’s definitely…an experience to watch this season if you do.

I hate bloom. Nick ruined her, her entire personality is being a main character. And most the seasons made no sense. It’s like the writer was sick and asked their kids to write for them. Although rai was completely different, she was so interesting. One of the only main characters I know of with a childish personality. And what happened to Bloom being into drawing? They completely took away everything interesting about her. And on top of this in new seasons Bloom is way overpowered and the other Winx can’t do anything without her. They always say lines like, “We need bloom!” In earlier seasons Bloom was a newbie with strong powers, she needed the winx’s experience.
