@@drtevinnaidu doctor: a teacher, from Middle English (in the senses “learned person” and “Doctor of the Church”): via Old French, from the Latin “doctor” (“teacher”), from “docere” (“to teach”). Throughout the modern world, tertiary education institutions have been given the right to confer Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees by the government of their respective countries. This is a fundamentally-flawed arrangement for the following reasons: As has been proven beyond any semblance of doubt in Chapter 22 of this “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, non-monarchical governments have absolutely no authority whatsoever over the populace of their countries or nations. And even if a nation was ruled by a LEGITIMATE government (that is, a holy and righteous king), it is not within the purview of a national ruler to adjudicate which educational institutions are qualified to confer scholastic awards to its citizens. The role of a national ruler is (above all) to protect the population and to ensure that the law (“dharma”, in Sanskrit) is enforced and promulgated. Furthermore, universities and colleges (especially in the Western world) have been increasingly promoting what is colloquially known as “leftism” (“adharma”, in Sanskrit), as well as bestowing post-graduate degrees upon those who would never have been able to even enter a university in previous centuries (not to mention a certain proportion of abject dunces, simply due to the fact that life in the West is relatively easy, and those dullards are able to spend several years of their lives in study, without needing to work for their livelihoods). Personally, I am extremely glad to not be counted amongst those imbeciles who have garnered a masters degree or a doctorate at a government-endorsed institute of “education”. As the current World Doctor Himself, I have witnessed that the calibre of the typical doctoral candidate is nowadays so appalling, that I would be loath to be the recipient of a PhD degree from any extant so-called “university/college”. Honestly, I would consider it to be a great DISHONOUR! Even the so-called “hard sciences”, such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and engineering, have become increasingly adulterated by adharma. For example, in Western academia (and by the time you are reading this Scripture, most all the schools of higher-learning in the East too) it is, in practice, impossible for an academic to assert the scientific fact that intelligence has a biological (that is, a genetic) component, and even if one was permitted to posit such a truism, it would be frowned upon to stress the fact that a person’s genome is the predominating factor in determining one’s intellectual capacity (not to mention bringing racial differences into the picture!). P.S. Marcus Tullius Cicero, the Roman statesman and philosopher who first introduced the term “doctor” in his book, “De Oratore”, in 55 BC, used the word to describe and to denote a MORAL guide of the state. Cicero breaks down the term “docere” further, and summarizes that “to teach”, means to provide truth through rational argument and statements of fact. Therefore, according to this most authentic definition of the term, very few so-called “doctors” are, in fact, doctors, at least in the field of academic philosophy.

I find it amusing when someone says AI is not conscious. But then when asked what is consciousness the same people will answer, 'we have absolutely no idea.'...😑. Hat off to Michael Levine. Another awesome job. He really is putting forth some questions that demand consideration and reasonable answers.

Michael's ability to communicate with cancer cells and persuade them to behave should earn him a Nobel Prize. However, for me, his most mind-blowing study isn't mentioned here - it's about the behavior of planarians when exposed to bromine. If you're not familiar with this research, I highly recommend looking it up.

First and foremost I would like to say that Michael Levin is my favorite scientist in the world today besides Rodger Penrose and I think he's absolutely brilliant. That being said he has a couple issues with his logic. Discreteness and multiplicity are just as real and just as much responsible as any Continuum or gradual form our growth for our own minds and everything else in existence. Quantization obviously does exist as there are examples of multiplicity and number everywhere around you and without these phenomenon occurring there wouldn't be anything at all because it is this very discreet and multiplicity that allows for location within the temporal and spatial dimensions of our universe because without them there would be no differentiation form or anything like that and it is the very act of mind becoming subjective that brings this discreteness to time and space and we call it the present moment or now. It is a Continuum as well but it is more of a gradual build-up of little things that gradually get bigger and bigger and bigger and it is fractal in nature and you can think of it like nested Russian dolls. Objectivity is nothing more than group subjectivity. The objective reality is not accurate in any case at all not even once yet every subjective reality is accurate every single time for its own self. Kind of funny huh especially since the only time objective reality is true is only for its own framework or its own subjective framework in other words it is subjective as well just from a larger framework. And there it is part of an infinite number of other objectivity that become a subjectivity and it keeps going to infinity until it makes a feedback or a strange loop and ends up back where it began. This is exactly how chaos in order are reconciled in duality and this is how subjectivity and objectivity are reconciled in a duality and it's the same for unity and multiplicity or the quantum world and the relative. I'm developing a new type of mathematics dealing with these things specifically and it's actually the way to describe reality perfectly. I wish I could talk to Michael Levin and Rodger Penrose about these things because I know for sure if I got their ear for a couple hours they would see exactly what I was talking about and run with it.

@@drtevinnaidu that would be wonderful. You probably won't believe it and especially since I'm not a physicist or mathematician or even a college graduate so you would have never heard my name or anything. But I literally have the closest description of reality there is yet because although I'm not a University graduate I am a lifelong learner and I understand all of the concepts talked about in relativity and quantum physics and a lot of mathematics as well I'm just not versed in the structure of the equations and what the symbols mean but as far as grasping the concept that it is trying to show that's easy. I've been interested in the question of why is there something instead of nothing my entire life ever since I can remember my first memories were of this question. My attempt to explain this has shown me a road map or a path that led me along a lifetime journey that basically showed me everything else as well. Not only do I know that this is the true description of reality because of my cognitive and logical faculties but I've had seen them on numerous occasions, in first person if you could call it that, experiential fashion and twice it was from the perspective of infinity and other times it was from the perspective of a near death and then several times just from mystic experiences because I am gifted at lucid dreaming and even astral projection an out-of-body experiences to a large degree although I won't claim that I could go out of body in this physical world and actually see things that are really here but that's where I do start though in the beginning sometimes because I could leave my body before I fall asleep occasionally. There have been times when I didn't even try to do this and I have went on cosmic journeys that lasted literally hundreds and hundreds of years of subjective dream time and by lucid dreaming experiences of this nature have been at least over a dozen dreams that lasted anywhere from a week to 80 years. While the longest one was eternity and all the creation from end to end with the feminine principle basically holding my hand and showing me everything. This was just a dream too. My point with all of this mystic spirituality mumble jumble and New age stuff is that it isn't that.reality itself is nothing more than mentality information and change. The mentality is where the awareness comes from that allows us to have our feelings and thoughts about a given situation and the information is what causes us to feel certain ways we do and this is what drives us to create change and to learn more things and experience more. That's literally how it is at the fundamental core of existence where nothingness becomes the infinite and it's completed form is a singularity or an infinite density that is the seed of all other infinities. That is one duality in existence the next duality is also nothingness and a potential Infiniti or a growing Infiniti like our universe is which isn't infinite as of now and never will be because the boundary of the observable portion is literally the end of existence for every subjective framework beyond that point. Michael Levin is so close to having the definition of qualia where it comes from and many more things but he has to realize that his continuums are discreet and quantum on such a small scale that you cannot even notice it. At least from one perspective just like the present moment seems not to have any breaks in it. And it doesn't that's why we have to keep moving because there is no breaks in it it's kind of like sliding down a slide but the change is also required for awareness and consciousness to exist and these things also require a subjective framework as well and so does differentiation no matter how much of a Continuum it is the rest of the time without locality and time and you can't have that without the present moment which is the point of criticality where yesterday and tomorrow come together and the point where gravity is affecting your specific subjective framework and it is the point consciousness is focused on. If he can realize you need the quantized the Continuum in in such a way as to show that it's ratios and that they are growing just like the universe and they are nested within each other like fractals or nested Russian dolls. Except they are interlocking and that's why we have the size structures we do from particles and then atoms and then the microscopic scale than the solar scale like solar massive black holes and singularities from there and then we have supermassive black holes with their singularities and then after that we have the universe itself and this is basically proportional to the golden ratio and it is reflective of the very first proportions and ratio that come into being between absolute nothingness and the first particle or singularity and then the entire physical universe and then the actual infinite Infinity that that completed universe will one day be which is once again absolute nothingness because it will stretch out so then it will evaporate thanks to Hawking radiation and then after matter evaporate space will have to because there will be nothing that causes it.but absolutely nothing this is impossible because of information and the information is abstract so that means it's a concept or conceptualized thing and that means it must be in a cognitive framework where this occurs. This is where Michael Levin needs to talk to Rodger Penrose but they both actually need to talk to me as well because I have a couple things to add to that that shows the whole picture and it will give you quantum gravity it'll give you why there's something instead of nothing and it will tell you exactly what the purpose is and what its fate is and whether or not there is a God or an afterlife and all of those things. And it's all mathematically rigorous and logically got out although some people might not agree that's just because they're opinion of what logical is nonsensical materialistic idiocy. I mean these people have been doing experiments for over a hundred years that prove there's nothing material in existence at all it's all just basically emptiness with little points of vibrating excitements in fields of energy. And even these points are still minute that they don't even have dimensionality area or volume.besides even if everything was solid material what would be the source and what would organize it hold it together give nature its laws give everything its value and give all the forces their job and everything what would literally differentiate everything from every other thing if not some kind of information or mind because information is literally only understood by something that can conceptualize it no matter what no matter what some type of intelligence must deal with information for it to be effective or even relevant at all otherwise nothing would carry meaning at all anywhere and what that means is everything is created from information and everything is literally language.

Michael Levin is so close to finding the the source of qualia and I'm sure I can point it out to him. As far as the physical model goes it is similar to Rodger Penrose cyclic geometric deal that he has because it is exactly a reproduction of that except I can prove that Infiniti of the same cardinality are actually bigger in certain cases which is completely impossible and I can put them in a hierarchy as well and I think I figured out a normalization technique that is 100 percent simple accurate and intuitive. So if you can blind Rodger Penrose with a little bit of Douglas hostetler strange loops because it's a feedback loop really but since it's in sequence of causal revolutions that means it also has a hierarchy in that each revolution is literally different than the last one or the one that's going to follow that establishes a hierarchy each revolution is literally a open loop or a spiral that's why everything grows to these golden spirals. At least from the point of view of the relatives and order while from the chaos side and the quantum side everything comes into being through the prime numbers and then the products of the prime numbers because that is what gives you your three dimensions with in time and space in the pixels. I can explain chaos and order in all mutually counseling dualities as well. Know you probably think I'm just one of those guys that likes to say I know what I'm talking about or just has a hobby out of doing this but I've been literally thinking about this for over 40 years my favorite book in the first grade was an encyclopedia Britannica so you I went to college or not I've never stopped learning my entire life and I love it and I know for a fact I'm right about this and I need some people that actually can do algebra correctly and have some connections in the platform to help me publish a proof and a paper and of course they would get almost complete credit for it I would just want my name mentioned for the few little things that I did come up with good because all of it is literally built upon the backs of the Giants that have already given us everything. I'm just glad you were still living today and Rodger Penrose is the only scientist that I like better than Michael Evans I think and that's just how much I like him as a person I think I respect Michael Levin probably more than think he might even be smarterI don't know and I do like him a lot but he is so serious it's like there's hardly any humor to him but Rodger Penrose is funny as hell I love the old man. And I might be on lacking in algebra but I know a lot about other things like set theory and number theory and some basic geometry and other things like that that are plenty for figuring the things I'm thinking about because it has most likely to do with Newtonian type mechanics you just need to realize there's a place where the continue and becomes quantized this must be done in a gradual fashion basically. Intelligence is a gradual process but it is one minute step at a time and it is literally Bunches of subjectivity being turned into groups of subjectivity or objectivity which has no accuracy towards any of those subjective frameworks and it's literally just the sum total of them averaged like you would average a series of digits or something. Every one of the subjective frameworks is 100% accurate every single time over and over yet objectivity is never accurate it's just an average of all of them except in one case it's 100% accurate to its own self every time and its own subjective framework which is for me position larger in the scale of existence. From a universe higher than ours.

Michael, your work is absolutely fascinating. I can see that in the near future, your work will upend medicine and evolutionary biology as we know it. We will (or other systems will) have complete control over our existence on a microbiological level. This essentially makes the storage of biological material an up-and-coming industry, and it will force us to question the fundamentals of our humanity. I think another ethical question is whether our biological existence may be threatened by population drop-off once we diverge enough from our self-replication mechanisms and begin relying entirely on external ones. We know our current biology is on a trajectory to fail to maintain population levels within the century. I can see a possible trajectory when the autologous human-tissue machinery would be able to perform tasks that entirely revitalize all of our current capabilities while giving us new ones. Another ethical issue is that we know that we are the warring type. If we diverge from each other biologically while we are immature at that level of analysis, we will likely kill each other off until there is only one dominant sub-species, much like homo sapiens did. The species that survives would be the one capable of biological reproduction and surviving whatever environment is left for them. This is a tragic but entirely possible trajectory if we dedicate our effort to solving the key to all possible programs in the space of form prior to reducing our level of hostility. We are 90 seconds to midnight, and this evolutionary bottleneck snapper will definitely open the floodgates of the unknown. My main ethical concern is that human beings are not a collective. Even at the individual level, they are hostile to one another. They hate and kill and destroy as individuals and groups. If we just extend those traits evolutionarily, we will create the "Aryan race". It will see itself superior as a group and it will hate and kill everything that does not conform to its worldview, just like our homo sapien ancestors must have done to all the other bromos.

But isn't this what life does, at least as we know it in this location? It runs around making copies of itself from materials it finds in the environment. Interestingly, xenobots suggest a design mechanism at work-not just on the grand evolutionary scale life forms exhibit, but also at the granular, foundational level-suggesting a design mechanism potentially aimed at information acquisition. Evolution on this planet has brought life to a point where it now possesses enough information to make and place a telescope comprised of available materials beyond Earth's orbit, seeking more information otherwise physically [perceptually] unavailable, not to mention its own composition as reflected in your research. Sorry, confused this as Michael Levin YT site. 😀

N.B. Before reading the following Glossary entry, it is absolutely imperative to understand that the term “mind” is being used according to the definition provided by the ancient Indian philosophical paradigm (in which it is called “manaḥ”, in Sanskrit), and NOT according to the manner in which the term is used in most all other systems (that is, as a broad synonym for “consciousness” - e.g. “The mind-body problem”). mind: Although the meaning of “mind” has already been provided in Chapter 05 of “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, it shall prove beneficial to further clarify that definition here in the Glossary. It is NOT implied that mind is the sum of the actual thoughts, the sensations, the memories, and the abstract images that inhabit the mental element (or the “space”) that those phenomena occupy, but the faculty itself. This mental space has two phases: the potential state (traditionally referred to as the “unconscious mind”), where there are no mental objects present (such as in deep sleep or during profound meditation), and the actualized state (usually referred to as the “conscious mind”), where the aforementioned abstract objects occupy one’s cognition (such as feelings of pain). Likewise, the intellect and the pseudo-ego are the containers (or the “receptacles”) that hold conceptual thoughts and the sense of self, respectively. It is important to understand that the aforementioned three subsets of consciousness (mind, intellect, and false-ego) are NOT gross, tangible objects. Rather, they are subtle, intangible objects, that is, objects that can be perceived solely by an observant subject. The three subsets of consciousness transpire from certain areas of the brain (a phenomenon known as “strong emergence”), yet, as stated above, are not themselves composed of gross matter. Only a handful of mammal species possess intelligence (that is, abstract, conceptual thought processes), whilst human beings alone have acquired the pseudo-ego (the I- thought, which develops in infancy, following the id stage). Cf. “matter, gross”, “matter, subtle”, “subject”, and “object”. In the ancient Indian systems of metaphysics known as “Vedānta” and “Sāṃkhya”, mind is considered the sixth sense, although the five so-called “EXTERNAL” senses are, nonetheless, nominally distinguished from the mind, which is called an “INTERNAL” sense. This seems to be quite logical, because, just as the five “outer” senses involve a triad of experience (the perceived, the perception, and the perceiver), so too does the mind comprise a triad of cognition (the known, the knowing, and the knower). See also Chapter 06. Nota Bene: There is much confusion (to put it EXTREMELY mildly) in both Western philosophy and in the so-called “Eastern” philosophical traditions, between the faculty of mind (“manaḥ”, in Sanskrit) and the intellect (“buddhiḥ”, in Sanskrit). Therefore, the following example of this distinction ought to help one to understand the difference between the two subtle material elements: When one observes a movie or television show on the screen of a device that one is holding in one’s hands, one is experiencing auditory, textural, and visual percepts, originating from external objects, which “penetrate” the senses of the body, just as is the case with any other mammal. This is the component of consciousness known as “mind” (at least according to the philosophical terminology of this treatise, which is founded on Vedānta, according to widely-accepted English translations of the Sanskrit terms). However, due to our intelligence, it is possible for we humans (and possibly a couple of other species of mammals, although to a far less-sophisticated degree) to construct conceptual thoughts on top of the purely sensory percepts. E.g. “Hey - look at that silly guy playing in the swimming pool!”, “I wonder what will happen next?”, or “I hate that the murderer has escaped from his prison cell!”. So, although a cat or a dog may be viewing the same movie on the screen of our electronic device, due to its relatively low level of intelligence, it is unable to conceptualize the audio-visual experience in the same manner as a primate, such as we humans. To provide an even more organic illustration of how the faculty of mind “blends” into the faculty of the intellect, consider the following example: When the feeling of hunger (or to be more precise, appetite) appears in one’s consciousness, that feeling is in the mind. When we have the thought, “I’m hungry”, that is a conceptual idea that is a manifestation of the intellect. So, as a general rule, as animals evolve, they develop an intellectual faculty, in which there is an increasingly greater perception of, or KNOWLEDGE of, the external world (and in the case of at least one species, knowledge of the inner world). In addition to these two faculties of mind and intellect, we humans possess the false-ego (“ahaṃkāraḥ”, in Sanskrit). See Chapter 10 of "F.I.S.H" regarding the notion of egoity.

AI is a system but it is not leaving cell/cells so we can't compare them. He can say that bubble sorting is intelligent but it is not a leaving cell which consumes matter. When bubble sorting will be able to reproduce itself and consume matter we will be able to compare them.

well, surprise, we are once again shown that everything we were so sure about has been dead wrong. when will we figure out that if it's happened over and over maybe we could hold our beliefs more lightly and reduce our overall burden. A switch from seeing our collective effort as humans doing humanity to Earth doing Life, would change our perspective into the right direction. Factor in consciousness as our true identity, rather than our self consciousness or body and a new vision of the future unlocks

If our planet overheats from the burning of fossil fuels, we need to find a new source of energy. The splitting of water hydrogen and oxygen gasses is the perfect solution. The energy of water and gasoline, weight/weight and near equal. Also, the supply of water is near infinite and after the combustion reaction product is water.

I can't help but feel some self-hate as human vibes here. Is the intelligence in creature emergent or not? Earlier it wasn't but then you mentioned it was. Also, symmetry of ethic isn't guaranteed. How do you prove exactly that another intelligence isn't nefarious? As you say humans aren't very good at some things so granted other creatures may also not be good at some things that affect us. We invite those in. Are control structures and kill switches in the ethic proposed? Or is it spawn then live and let live?

Whether it may seem ethical or not to us, the fact is that all life (apart from some bacteria that may synthesise chemical sources as food) has to eat other living things in order to survive. It's not an ethical issue at this level.
