A recent photo shows Secretary of State Antony Blinken with three former GOP Secretaries of State, all three Republicans accused of war crimes. “If you’re happy to cozy up to Baker, Rice, and especially Kissinger,” says Mehdi, “You really have no right to ever lecture any other country, government, or former official on human rights or respect for human life ever again.”
The Mehdi Hasan Show: Insightful reporting and probing interviews that examine the day's events and provide a deeper level of context for the politics of our interconnected society.

Mehdi, I really love your objectivity and sense of justice. Blinken is planning to join this gang of blood-stained war makers!

Thanks for this important perspective. The conscious and intentional amnesia, or un-knowing, of our political and media leadership is what makes us so exceptional.

My wife is Khmer. She is the epitome of compassion and forgiveness so it's up to me to loath Kissinger on her behalf and I do. Cambodia was a peaceful, neutral country populated by gentle people. Millions died agonizing deaths thanks to Kissinger, Nixon, their bombs and the destabilization they wrought. The country of Cambodia (Kampuchea), her citizens and their descendents suffer to this day. The US has a lot to answer for: Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Iraq X2, Argentina , Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Venezuela and Afghanistan. Many would include Hawaii, Costa Rica and the Marshall Islands as well.

I side w/ Bernie in regards to Kissinger. Just look at his record. He seems to have been a tool to legitimize wrong decisions so many do not bring that up and even side w/ him, like Hilary.

I asked about Bernie Sanders while running for Congress in 2016. I even defended him, which is probably part of the reason why I was not elected. I asked people about him. I like you, but if I did a survey of people's opinion of you, many people might tell me you're a great guy, but I want to know why the other person who didn't speak well of you to tell me why. I have learned from people who don't agree on everything I believe, but still have faith in me, and I in them. That's what America is.

Would you ever consider running again Dr Williams? It seems so toxic with even those with the best intentions putting in 110% and still getting nothing but obstruction. I am from the UK, where Sen Sanders is not even considered progressive, just left of centre.

...and both were installed because corporate Democrats _compromised_ on how much justice normal people could have, in an inexcusably-pointless, irredeemably-submissive, morally-backward peace-offering to Republicans. As if pre-emptively offering up your lunch-money buys a worthwhile peace.

Corporate Democrats' grim habit of passive complicity, is so pernicious and dogged, that even DeJoy is allowed to brazenly continue fully sabotaging the USPS. In plain sight. For the destabilization of the United States *_and_* personal profit.

accountability is when the locals can grind on for decades and not cave to american military occupations and emerge as independent nations, eg philippines (yes, way back they were the first to suffer genocide in the 100,000s under american occupation), vietnam and now afghanistan. i am no fan of the taliban but i am of the firm belief that they need to sort things out as citizens of their own sovereign nation.
@AmateurHistorian999

I would be fine with that if the Taliban would let any of their citizens leave who want to leave. Short of that, Afghanistan is an open-air internment camp for women and I'll support every effort to change that.
