At last a positive balanced review of aviator! Yes everybody loves le male...how great it was...remember it’s more how great your life was then too..so how can new scents compare to that...don’t expect new scents to compete with all your associations with le male...accept that was then, this is now, let new scents make new associations for you. Thx for the nice review! I like the way you sum up, what occasion it is for, and how this frag works. You forgot to mention tho "Le Male In the Navy" from Gaultier. Important, because, I think it has a similar nature. What I mean by that is, both have this more mass-pleasing, modern, corn-sugar like sweetness to it, and are very easy to wear, and by far not so much of a statement like "Le Male" or "Le Male Eau Fraiche". In the Navy is a bit more salty, sweeter and stronger, but it feels like it came out of the same "DNA-Pool" like Aviator, like they are siblings or so. And this kind of DNA is found in several new releases in my opinion, Dunhill Icon Racing, Porsche Design | 180, Spice Bomb Night Vision, and several others. To me it feels like some cosmetic company has invented an ingredient, and everyone is implementing it now.

I own the female counterparts to JPG Le Male Aviator & In The Navy, Classique Cabaret EDP & Pin-Up EDP. I adore the scent, BUT they are the exact same fragrance, only difference is one is wearing a sparkly red dress and the other is in a sparkly pink dress. I am so curious if the male counterparts In The Navy and Aviator were created the same, having the same frag just different bottles. Anyone know if they are the same frag like the ladies (2019 & 2020) versions???
