Where Should You Buy Vinyl Records?

Loved the video Matt! X I do have a few questions which you could use in future videos: 1) Why vinyl? You could use Spotify v Vinyl here 2) How do I know vinyls I want to buy are right for me? 3) Are bigger or smaller vinyl collections better? 4) How did you decide your specific music taste as you got older? 5) Will vinyl always last? (This could be part of question 1) 6) How do I know the record player I want to buy is a good one? 7) What are the advantages and disadvantages of selling vinyl records? Loved how well you did this video man. Can’t wait for the next one!

Are viynls New or old? Never heard of them before I just use spotify. Great video

@@JamesTompkins87 Vinyl Records have been around for a very long time. Before Vinyl there was Shellac records that play at 78RPM, they were mass produced from around the late 1800’s to the late 1950’s. In 1949 the first Vinyl record was produced and from the late 1950’s they became the main way to listen to music, Vinyl records can play at 33 and a third RPM for albums and sometimes for singles and 45RPM is the main speed for singles. You can also find some Vinyl that plays at 78RPM though it is uncommon in the 60’s the first cassette tapes were produced and then in the 80’s the CD was released and it overtook Vinyl by the 90’s. Since the mid 2000’s vinyl has slowly made its way back, and is now more popular than CD’s in terms of recent sales.

Hey just to confirm it. Do you think discogs is trustable for buying valuable vinyls?

Yes, in my opinion it is. If you are going to buy an expensive record, definitely ask for photos if you are wanting to confirm they have the correct record. Also remember to check the sellers reviews too, more positive the more likely they are trustworthy.
