Years ago my ex bagged me to take her to see one of the Twilight movies. She always criticized my comics/manga ( which she always said was childish) I told her if I have to watch your chick flick, you can read a few chapters of Watchmen …which is not for kids. I sat thru the 2 and half hours of torture at the theater. Later I gave her the book. Within five minutes she complained “I can’t read this!! It gives me a head ache” and refused to try. Women never keep their bargains. After that I refused to go to any of her god awful chick flicks.

I mean, this is another one of those films where the critics slammed it and the audience loved it, but I guess audiences aren't that turned off the way critics are by predictability and unoriginality as opposed to, say, bad writing or acting. I saw this myself a couple of weeks back and rather enjoyed it, though I probably don't do cinema trips as much as Dev and Naomi and I most likely haven't seen as many films as most people even my age (early 20s).
