Market declines, soaring inflation, a significant increase in interest rates by the Fed, and rising Treasury yields all point to additional losses for portfolios this quarter. How can I profit from the present market turbulence? I'm still debating whether to sell my $125k ETF/Growth Stock portfolio.

Concentrate on two main objectives. First, keep yourself safe by knowing when to sell stocks in order to limit losses and maximize gains. Second, get ready to benefit from market changes. I advise consulting a coach or other professional for advice.

People often overlook the value of financial advisors until they experience the downside of emotional decision-making. I recall a few summers ago, after a difficult divorce, when I needed help reviving my struggling business. I did some research and found a licensed advisor who worked diligently to grow my reserves, even amid inflation. As a result, my reserves grew from $275k to around $750k.

The Fed's talk of interest rate cut leaves me pondering what stocks to buy now and when do I sell? I'm unsure how to properly allocate my money to achieve an optimal portfolio in this present economy, my goal is $3m for retirement.

Agreed, I always emphasize the significance of having an advisor. This has not only help to revamp my portfolio but has also kept me afloat since the covid-19 outbreak to date. I'm only about 10% shy of my first million dollar after subsequent investments.

Agree. Very likely we r headed for a decade long bear market in all western assets. It will be a period of geopolitical n currency changes. Within US this is the chance to do the long-needed economic n social n government reforms. If we succeed, US will be on a long-term sustainable growth path in a decade. But we must take the pain 1st n do the adjustments. From investing pov, sell all US, european equities n bonds. Go long Gold and Crypto. Go long emerging market trade........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay's, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Kimberly Ann Doran

been buying PGF Invesco preferred ETF. 6.16% yield, should be a qualified dividend and pays monthly. Seems like this will be a winner going into this cutting cycle and drop in short term yields?

“head in a headbasket” may give a clue that depicts the execution by the guillotine during the French Revolution when people’s heads were dropped into a basket. However, “handbasket” is most likely used because of alliteration, representing something easily and quickly done. In the 19th century, the phrase has been found associated with the California gold rush of the 1840s where men were lowered by hand in baskets down mining shafts to set explosives which could have deadly consequences.

For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. Got back into crypto early in 2024 with $20k and I'm up with $232k in a short period of time

Energy is also down because if Trump wins, energy stocks go down, they let all drilling back up again and that will drive the prices down, anticipation of presidency is putting pressure on oil
