The problem with this is the fact that you can buy many items straight from Facebook. I like Rob but this video was poorly done. I mean anyone who has bought anything off the internet can easily face this criticism. And none of them know if they’re buying stolen goods or not. And don’t even say it’s their responsibility to check the serial or anything, because NOBODY does that. I use to buy and flip products myself, and I found myself from buying from 3 wholesalers, and only these 3. Anything could have been stolen. I mean Rob went after the guy who purchases these items and re sells them. Which isn’t illegal, and can only be illegal if he knew they were stolen. Good luck proving that. Who Rob should have went too was the guys selling these items. Robs video on this guy solves nothing. The other people who are the ones actually stealing this shit, are unknown, and still stealing. This is unfortunate because I do like Rob but this video just jumps to conclusions, probably because it was the most interesting story sitting on his desk at the time.

funny when they have things like stingray tech to listen in or see what you're doing on your phone with no warrant. they probably knew but didn't care. also "traffic" stops pertain to commerce which none of us are engaged in. the uniform COMMERCIAL (code) isn't the law of the land. so they enforce things to take away rights. traveling vs driving, taxes being voluntary but are enforced with threats and jail time, deeds to properties aren't ownership like land patents. but they don't care about true fraud or else they'd fix the system matrix they created to enslave. people, humans, persons, citizens etc are all deemed corporations not living beings.

Unfortunately enough, the only evidence they've got is that he bought it from some shady guy. Did he know it was stolen? Possibly (definitely) yes, but there's no way to actally prove it. Unless they catch the guys who stole the things red handed, there's not much they can do except for putting him in "the hall of lame". Usually, the penalties for "possession of stolen property" aren't that severe.

Ruben Borges Whether you know if it is stolen or not is the difference of whether or not you should be charged with "Possession-" or "Recieveing stolen goods" (different crimes), or if it counts as a misdemeanor or a felony. Both things affect how badly you can be punished: a small fine, or jail time?

You need to take pictures of your gear, and pictures of the serial numbers, and photo copies of your receipts to use to prove it's yours when filing a police report, recovering your stolen goods, and or civil court. Also, if you are able to insure your gear, make sure what you do to show proof of ownership is recognized under your policy.

yo boi, You obviously don't know how the police operate in the diverse cesspool cities of America. Now if it will get their name on the news, they may do something. Otherwise there are just too many scum bags and not enough police. They are way too busy sniffing out pot smokers. That's how they raise revenue to keep their operation in business. Much more lucrative than busting criminals.

Ali N Yassine was in possession of felony level (due to value) stolen goods. He sold those stolen goods. He used a federal service, the US Post Office to ship those stolen goods. There is a high probability he sold stolen goods across State lines. They have both State and federal crimes to charge, arrest and convict him for. They have video surveillance as well as physical evidence to bring before both a State and a Federal Grand Jury to indict him with. With even a hint of investigation, they have enough to lock this man up for a very long time. Why haven't they charged and arrested him?

It's happened to me too one of my neighbors broken into my garage and he stole a $2,000 rims and $180 bike he hid the bike in his house and he sold the rims for $40 to mechanic shop 3 blocks away from my house. And my dad told me to check to any shop around my house and I found my rims. and he told me who sold it to him I got my camera and I want to his house they took out my bike and they went and got my rims back. I gave the kid a chance. But I have everything on camera. (( don't buy anything from the street you're helping them to steal more and one day they will steal from you))

Here's a clue peeps; if someone is selling a camera iwth no charger or cables, it's probably stolen. If there's no proof of purchase and no box either, it's definitely stolen.

My question is if we can prove that these cameras and equipment are stolen and he’s the one selling them on eBay. Why can’t we get him on receiving and selling stolen property? If these people such as the photographer can prove using serial numbers in receipts that this stuff on there that’s for sale that is stolen is stolen then why can’t he be arrested?

This is a local & state government service or lack of service issue, not the police. Enforcing this type of crime doesn't generate an income like 'surface violations' ... traffic, parking, and other fines.
