Now, to anwser to your question I came here in to join my husband who is british and works here. No it's not, the fences in the front of houses doesn't mean that it is a bandit country, in fact I could walk down my street here in the UK and the houses by the Road all have fences it doesn't take a genius to work that out and the big or private houses in England have fences as well like anywhere. If she goes into developments in general in Côte d'ivoire you will see that the houses are not fenced it's just depending on areas and type of properties. Lastly I live in the UK and I have been in a few countries and there is nowhere else in the world where i would want to live as much as in Côte d'ivoire that's why my husband and I will be moving there soon after our properties are built.

What did Ghana do to you please? Every video about Ghana you are there spewing negative comments. We only fight back when attacked. Ghanaians mind their business. Ghana is like your eldest brother which that no matter what you do plays an important role in everything irrespective of being underdeveloped, the history, hospitality, the people, peace of mind, freedom acts as a magnet to draw people. Is better to lve in hut and be happy than to live in a mansion.

Google: Can foreigners own land in Ivory Coast? There is no restriction on foreign entities holding property in the country.

My Ivorian friends told me there is restriction for land ownership. But since there is lots of foreigners owing land there I'm pretty sure you can if you a sk the right person. Also french system is full of protocole sometimes it's frustating.

@@cjfglobalforexcjfglobalfor5660 Stop being such an idiot. Ghana. Accra is a wonderful place and have as much to offer as Abidjan. Accra is more safe than Abidjan. Ghana has more freedom, democracy and respect for human rights than Ivory Coast. So life can be better in Ghana than Ivory Coast. There are thousands of Ivorians who are still refugees in Ghana and live in refugee camps in Ghana today since 2011. So if they refuse to go back to their country despite all the development there, then that should tell you that a country may have big highways and tall building but if the people are not free in their own country, then all the development do not matter. Let's respect evey African country and enjoy what they have to offer instead of comparing them.

Honestly, as much as I believe Abidjan is better planned its residential area is well below that of Accra, Lagos, Kumasi and Abuja The houses here are nothing exciting and I find the walls around the houses too high and hiding the beauty of the neighborhood.

I totally agree with you man. There's no residential area in Abidjan that can match up with Cantonments, Airport area, ridge, East legon et al in Accra Ghana

Don't bring Nigeria into it. Talk about your country Ghana and compare it with your neighbours Togo, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. The difference between Ivory Coast and Ghana leaves one asking questions. What were Ghana people doing when Ivory Coast their neighbour was developing? Those houses mean a lot to people who know good things.

Any country where you see high walls is an indication of poor security. They do that for security reasons and in a way takes away the beauty of the neighbourhood.

@@cjfglobalforexcjfglobalfor5660 you crazy as hell, Lagos is a mess. It is both a developed and underdeveloped country. Lagos has high developped areas and a large part of it is totally undeveloped. Abidjan is more uniformley developed. You don't even have a public transportation system in Lagos. Abidjan has public transportation all over the city. Lagos is filthy and a mess. Abidjan is better than lagos and the rest of the cities you cited. Abuja can compare to Abidjan but it is not populated enough to compare to Abidjan. As of Port Harcourt, Calabar, Delta and the rest, they may compare to the poorest neighborhood of Abidjan like Abobo and Yopougon.
