Actually Tony is hardly ever at the track and Ike his other properties and investments he’s drastically decreased his involvement. He also sold his ranch which was his “baby” and that he spent years making the way he wanted. Clearly you’ve not listened to his close friends discussing how drastic Tony has changed. He’s divested in nearly everything besides those activities with his wife and drag racing.

In spite of Smoke moving on to NHRA and putting the All-Stars and NASCAR behind him, his love for dirt racing isn't going anywhere. His love for what Earl Batles did for Eldora is also never going away. If he should ever consider selling Eldora it would go to someone as dedicated he has been to keep Eldora the cream of the dirt tracks long term.

Tony has been great for racing and what he does with his money and time are his business and his hopefully growing family. I follow the Nhra more because Tony Stewart is doing something remarkable in jumping in a rocketship at his age.I hope he keeps ElDora but it won't change my world if he doesn't.

So I was never told Eldora was sold however I was told since the death of Jerry Gappens ( May 28, 2024 ) (former SMI president of New Hampshire motor speedway) and general manager of Eldora Speedway that there is a Management opportunity. With Tony's interests in drag racing and upcoming expansion of his family, I'm pretty sure that he wants no part of the day to day promotional general management side of Eldora. Now, I won't add a group name that may or may not be involved. Justin if you can 100% debunk this situation I would be interesting to hear it.

A dark horse for tonight's prelim..... Joseph Joiner. I look for a top ten (and maybe a top 5) for him if he can continue to post laps like he did in last night's hot laps. 2nd overall out of 85 drivers, not too shabby. He ran good here last year short of a couple of mistakes in heat races. At any rate, I will continue to fly my American and HTF flag above our motorhome all weekend.

Keep and eye on Max Blair, who has been methodically improving since he joined the traveling series. While I do not predict a win as he has struggled at Eldora, I do expect a better showing at this event.

I think the sale of Eldora would be a betrayal of the agreement between Tony and Earl Baltes. Don't think Tony will be selling Eldora anytime soon, as long as he has competent people running the place, he doesn't need to personally be there for it to operate. Just my opinion.

I think he was serious when he told Earl Baltes that he would look after Eldora and I think he will always want some involvement in openwheel dirt racing. … but I’m not him so I don’t know what he is thinking, these are just my gut feelings.

I can’t imagine that Eldora is costing Tony any money out of his pocket. Same thing with TSR. Just as a fan, it seems to me like Eldora functions on its own now. It doesn’t seem as if Tony is as hands on with it anymore as he used to be. He’s grown that place to be so big that it’s not nearly as important for him to be there as it once was

The dirt world is losing another champion, a source from Venturini Motorsports stated that the 2023 Xtreme Outlaw Series Champion Jade Avedisian will make her ARCA debut August 18 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds dirt track, and then Jade will run ARCA full-time in 2025 replacing Toni Breidinger in the #25 car. Supposedly, Toni is moving to the Truck Series in 2025.

I wonder what form of racing she enjoys the most? The BS in the NASCAR world would turn me off if I was a woman racer. Unfortunately there is not the level of support in the ladder to Indycar like NASCAR has. I still think she could do well in Indycar if given the development time. If I was putting money on which female openwheel dirt tracker makes it to the Indy 500, my money is on Taylor Ferns or Kaylee Bryson, with the slight edge to Ferns.

Not really a new track it’s been open off and on for years heck the guy who’s “not affiliated with it” is on his 3rd or 4th round there as it is and has ran it broke every time heck he was running atomic until the guy that agreed to be his investor because he didn’t know about his history got tired of money disappearing and used the clause in his contract to take it over and force him out
