Just found your channel. Good to see a fellow sooner. I live in NW Oklahoma. Youngest daughter graduated from OU. We are SEASON FOOTBALL TICKET holder for years and years. .Really miss having a LNS close by. I am mainly a quilter but have been cross stitching for a few years. Ok this deep dive into the behind the scenes of LNS, ONS, cross stitch stores is FASCINATING.😂 I also love finding de-stash deals for dmc on Facebook marketplace or eBay, especially if you are new to cross stitch, you can load up your dmc stash in a very short time for usually a really good deal. The only downside to that though is you might get a de-stash of dmc floss with really old dye lots that might be drastically different from current dye lots. Keep pumping out these quality Flosstubes, ladies, I love it!❤

I am lucky enough to have a LNS 20 minutes from me, and another an hour away. Dyeing to Stitch in VA Beach and Liberty Hill Needleworks in Williamsburg. The ONShops I use when those stores don't have what I'm looking for are Millennial Fabrics, TopKnot Stitcher, Thread the Needle Stitchery, and GaRon Stitchery. Another great video y'all! 💕

Oh I wish we had cross stitch aisles/stores worth visiting in the UK! I pretty much buy all my supplies online, most of which come from the US. Our generic craft stores which are much smaller than US stores anyway have virtually no cross stitch supplies that I would buy, they have DMC if you're happy to pay £1.50 per skein. I stitch mostly with DMC because it is the only thread I can see in person even though it's very overpriced here, anything overdyed that I use is mostly called for for me to buy it otherwise it's a complete guessing game. I love that Talking Dog Stitchdery is a new online UK store so will be checking that out 💗

I'd say also never hurts to call an lns to see if they ship. Many do and it supports keeping brick as be morter shops open!

🩷 I get most of my floss from a local big box store or Fat Quarter Shop. FQS has grown a ton over the years! I started ordering from them back when they would guarantee same day shipping if you ordered before 3pm central time.

I have a nice LNS about 40 minutes away. But… it’s very crowded and cluttered. They cut linen to size but it’s not serged. Their floss prices are 15-50% higher than online. And I prefer digital patterns. I go on occasion because I try to support small local businesses. 🩷 Great video as usual!
