Your video inspired me I ended up at an estate sale. I scored a DMC cabinet filled with Au Ver A Soie Soie D’Alger. It was $100 but about $800 crammed inside. There were 3 other DMC cabinets. But they wanted $300 for all 4 and that was more than I could spend. The others were not filled with silks they had mostly the thicker needlepoint yarns which I wouldn’t use so they were as much of a deal. Though I really wanted the cabinets.

💲so fun thrifting with you! I think I would fall on the floor if I found a custom framed fully finished cross stitch while thrifting. So good! I also think that can’t count in your budget a treasure that HAS to be saved!

💸💸 I don't think I've spent over $25. I KNOW I've spent way more, even recently with A Study in Nature, kitting up stuff for it.

"Recreational Thrifting" - my new life goal! You have some great stores to hunt in. ALL THE FRAMES!! And some cute finished pieces, too....(FYI - the Santa is by Homespun Collectibles, not Prairie Schooler. I know this because I may or may not have that pattern.... :D ) You should do some skeleton cameos for that little oval side-by-side frame!

Loved this!!! I started keeping my finish measurements in a notes file on my phone so I can look for the “right” frames when thrifting. 💵

You ladies are so much fun and interesting. Congratulations and thank you. About Mill Hills my local LNS is also a framer. She cuts mat board from her scraps and cuts an opening the size of the perforated paper. I then tape the paper from the kit to the mat board. I only cover a couple of the holes so not to mess with the design area. There is a couple inches of mat board around the paper to hold on to. Then when I'm done I carefully remove the tape. It works great, the mat board is reusable for another project. I've been doing it this way for years. I also separate the floss at the beginning and label. Beading is done last. I hope this makes sense and will help as you work. 🎂🎊🥂

I was so shocked to see the angel hanging on the wall, especially after seeing the fiber and floss gal talk about her project and the hygge sticher going to start her own. I wish our local thrift stores had good craft sections. They have hardly anything for yarn and needlework stuff.

Madiera is another brand here, the cross stitch guild in the uk dont sell anything else, its slightly cheaper than dmc, which has become crazy expensive here. Ive pretty much moved over to gast and wdw now though, i jist love how they bring everything to life

I was watching this during my lunch break today and got so inspired that I stopped at one of my favorite thrift stores on the way home. I've occasionally found cross stitch and yarn there. Today was no different. 2 hardcover books and 1 chart was rescued today. BH&G American Patchwork & Quilting, The Cross-Stitchers Complete Companion, and Kustom Krafts Needlworks Macaw #jw-014 chart. All for around $10. Woohoo! And the Macaw is amazing! 🤑 💵 💰

While I was watching this video I was like, wow, it's so interesting that somebody has made a documentary of my life starring Stephanie from CrossStitchtheGlobe 😂. J/K. Very fun video! That moment when you spotted the Lavender and Lace on the wall was absolutely epic. Thanks for mentioning me! 😀

I have had good luck finishing picture frames from Disney Parks at the thrift store. One even played music and was brand new! I also once scored about 75 skeins of Gentle Arts floss for about $15.

Great video! Went thrift shopping for craft supplies for the first time last week and scored a few things - so fun! I only have two stores in the vicinity that I can thrift, but I'll put them in rotation. 💸💰

I’m almost an exclusive q snap user. I have some hoops but prefer q snap. I find hoops leave hard to remove rings. I bought a set of the original q snaps when they came out many years ago. I buy the Hobby Lobby brand now and I have no problem with getting drum tight. I do keep my project on the q snap but loosen it after each stitch session. So I buy multiple sets, thanks to flosstube I have many projects going. Q

I’ve been using q snaps for years. I bought the q snap brand when they first came out. Now I buy the ones from Hobby Lobby and very happy with them. I mix the sizes to get a rectangle.👩🍳😘

I’m terrible at social media. Enjoyed your floss tube so much I ran to a thrift store. For $20 found a hand across the sea sampling, a the blue flower, the Scarlet letter, probably 20 Teresa Kogut, Jardin Prive, carriage house sampler, cottage garden, hands on design, Quilty barn. So very many. Very excited and thankful. Take care.
