Yeah Calicut or Kozhikode is a bomb for foodies. I used to fly to calicut, stay there for two days for v food and then take a cab to kochi when I used to come to India for my annual vacation. It is also the cleanest city in kerala and has the most honest auto 🛺 drivers. Only place in kerala that autos actually use the meters The 🛺 drivers are the best food critics in the city. So ask them for advice on where to eat

Omg you are so right, the taxi drivers were SUPER honest and kind here. It was amazing food wise also, we loved it. Try the adaminde chayakada next time if you havent already. we were blown away

There is a huge festival coming up "ONAM" wish you could stay in kerala until then which is on september 14 th to 17 th. There are lots things going on like 1--pookalam[ decorating the floor in front of the house with a round of flowers in beautifully orderly designs which you can see in almost every homes those days] 2--puli kali [peoples painted up like tigers and lions on their tummys and dance to the rythem] 3-- vallam kali [boat race] 4-- biggest sadhyam, paysam
