Where To Farm The NEW BLACKWOOD FURNISHING PLANS 💰 How To Farm Plans Efficiently

If you're looking to pass some time on ESO doing something relatively lowkey and potentially make some gold while you're at it, then you may want to consider farming furnishing plans - especially in Blackwood, the latest ESO Chapter.
The new Blackwood furnishing plans are worth quite a bit in light of the fact that they were recently added to the game, and the new furnishings themselves look very nice.
A lot of the members of my community have shared their experiences farming for plans, and very many of them were successful when they farmed - they made hundreds of thousands and even millions of gold from farming these new furnishing plans alone! If you decide to farm for some plans, I wish you luck! Farming plans can kinda be addicting eh? It's like containers are a "poor man's crates" ;p

@@digitalcabbage910 Plenty of other creators have done videos on companion gear so I figured it wasn't necessary, but you are totally right! The prices of companion gear has gone down quite a bit now, but it is definitely still very much a good idea to always keep your companion active while doing solo content so that you can passively pick up companion gear to sell for some extra gold! :D

I figured out a quicker way to re-populate the containers in the councilors' house; open map and port to the Water's Edge preview house right next door (you travel for free when entering a preview home), once you load in, turn around and walk out the door. You will load right back in to the councilors house with all lootable containers reset. -AkashaVow

Last room for Bastian quest has several lootable containers (7ish I think). You can park a few toons there and farm by relogging. I don't recommend porting out because it takes a while to run back there. If you have quick loading screens this is a really nice place. Also, there is a point in main story where Leyawiin Castle is also lootable, though it has less containers than normal. Again, you can't progress past that point or it will go back to normal.

@@giovannyrivera2984 I like to quickly do a bunch of world boss dailies for a chance at overland motifs! Be sure to keep in mind motif cooldowns for reward coffers that came after Elsweyr! I have a video on world boss dailies that talks about how they can be pretty profitable besides being able to just sell the motifs from them ☺️

Okay for the porting away and back again thing, can you just port to a dungeon and then exit it? Which would drop you right back into the place you were in? Would that still reset containers?

Yeah you just need a load screen, so I suppose porting to a dungeon and then exiting should work if this normally drops you off wherever you last were when you ported in. Queueing for the Imperial City and then exiting it (through the sewer door) would also work! Same with "previewing" a house via the crown store and then exiting.

I’ve also checked out the lowest floor of the mages/fighters guild. Anywhere else you’d suggest for those plans? Can I get them from Blackwood since the zones are interspersed? I’ve googled till my thumbs bleed and haven’t found the answer yet😢😢

NGL I think most of us that cared about furnishing got about 6 alts through the 5 minutes of quest once we got to that part of the quest on our main and saw that house tbh since it had a nice spread of lootable cupboards without a lot of time investment to get there.

Well…. I have been doing that but not as intensively as I could and I got some purple drops.. now the thing is that I don’t find it as rewarding as the harrowstrorm farming or the markarth dailies. Do you have an efficient way to farm for gold in general? Like a more stable source of income other than writs? Side note: awesome content and straight to the point keep going we could use more videos like yours!

Thank you! One of the most reliable sources of income is farming nodes, although it's not particularly interesting. Pvping is another really reliable means to make gold since you can always convert your AP into gold relatively easily, and you can earn AP just by playing (it's not really left up to RNG like a lot of other gold farming methods). If you are already very wealthy and have a very solid understanding of the game you can partake in flipping, which is what I like to do. :) World boss dailies are also really great because you can sell the gear, style mats and motifs that come from them!

It's never been "officially" stated but a lot of players have noticed that if you receive a certain colored plan they won't pull another of that color for 15 minutes. The exception is green plans, I haven't noticed any such behavior on greens.

I am old, so my time is limited, so I saved money and just bought the Leyawiin furnishing plans. Now I can spend my time farming for the Iron Brigade Clasps. 😞

Fair enough! Make sure you decon all of your "Frostbite" gear for a chance at getting those clasps. You may be able to search the traders real quick for super cheap frostbite gear (under 1k) to decon.

My preferred spot is the Shimmerene Monastery - it's fairly easy to get to, leaving and returning to the building gives you a load screen (to repopulate containers!) and you can search the containers instead of stealing from them, which is perfect! Good luck with the plan farming! :D

Nice one! Most people sell them in their trading guilds, but if you aren’t in one or don’t want to join one you could try selling your plans in zone chat! Use Tamriel Trade Centre to help give you a price estimate! Good luck :)

How long does it usually take to get a purple plan? I've read that Ayleid purple plans could take around 10 hours and they're super rare, Leyawiin purple plans are less expensive, so should take less time? Been farming for 5 hours today, got lots of green, 4 blue and 0 purple... And don't even ask how many lockpicks I now have .__.

Haha yeah it's all RNG! Some days you can get real lucky and receive a lot of plans, other days not so much. But yes, Ayleid plans are among the most rare in the game, meaning their drop rate is very low (plus, it is very easy for all of us to simply loot containers passively while we play the game, whereas the Ayleid plan can only drop from enemies in an Ayleid ruin, and not too many players are in those all the time ;p) Sometimes I will randomly loot a container while I'm questing and I'll get an amazing purple plan! And other times I can farm a place for an hour or two to get info for my channel and website and not receive a single blue plan :^)

@@Hexondro I do not have a "giant clam" route, as I find that Mother of Pearl is one of those items that you get passively by quickly completing geyser world events whenever one is near you, or from pyandonean bottles whenever you're looking to kill some time so you fish, or whenever you stumble upon a clam on the beach. Sorry about that! If you are looking to have a lot of powdered mother of pearl, you may be better off participating in some other gold-earning method and then using that gold to buy your pearls - it may be a more efficient use of your time

the delve just north of Leyawiin "Undertow Caverns" is very good w many packs and trunks. Don't forget the pack outside the entrance. Also, there are two decent huts near "Stonewastes" one north of the wayshrine and one south of the village.

I finished farming the boss and the secret boss 36 times that's 72 gold chest and not one furniture plan not green not blue not purple nothing. I've come to a conclusion this is my experience with everything in the game RNG for some people is really really bad. But I guess one bright silver lining around the Dark cloud is now I have the money to go buy one furniture plan from all the loot and gold I collected. LoL

Haha yeah I feel you, it's why I prefer earning gold through more reliable means (as opposed to RNG), but I will still partake in RNG gold farming passively, like, say, looting containers while I am questing, or engaging with world events if I ever pass one. I kinda made a video on that notion - like in your case, all that time spent farming those plans could have been spent picking nodes and you would have made much more gold, buuut if you enjoy your time in the deadlands, then I can't blame ya for farming. I personally would much rather kill things than pick flowers so I can't say I would have done any different ;)

From what I’ve observed, this actually usually isn’t the case. Fortunately, there are a lot of different kinds of furnishing plans, and so long as there remains a steady demand for them, the prices don’t tend to decrease too much*. Speaking from my experience on PC NA, to be fair. The greatest price decrease usually happens within the first week when the hype is crazy and items are selling for unreasonable prices. After a couple of weeks have passed, things level off, regardless of whether or not people have shared great locations to farm for plans. The bigger culprit in these situations tends to be people that undercut by crazy amounts, and not people that share their game experiences with others. Even if prices did decrease significantly, I’d ultimately still prefer to help others out by offering them some guidance when it comes to earning plans, than to keep people in the dark. In my opinion, there are far greater ways to make gold, so people like you and I can always go ahead and partake in those methods if that is our primary objective:)
