Bro I’m just trying to find any Walleye. Any tips for deep mountain reservoir lakes?
@NickLindner5 ай бұрын
Hmm. I’m not sure I have great fool-proof advice. That’s not something I’ve tackled much specifically for walleyes.
@JMonOutdoors7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tips Nick! Been watching a lot of your walleye videos lately… I feel confident in Crappies and Bluegills almost anywhere I go. But walleyes, they are a whole new learning curve and experience. So, thank you for producing your walleye content, been trying to copy some of the things you do, at times with success and other times with struggles (Mille Lacs success, Gull negative lol). Keep up the good work, maybe we will run into each other at one point 👍🏼🎣 I fish from the BLA to Aitkin Area and triangle back down to Pierz, MN.

Thanks for watching. I’m glad you’re getting values! Gull can be super fickle, so don’t feel bad!

@@NickLindner no problem, I’m trying to learn and soak in as much about walleyes as I can. I watch you guys on Angling Buzz, Northland Tackle, and with Brett on Target Walleye… lots of awesome info… but, experience is the best teacher. Thanks for all that you do for the fishing world!

@@JMonOutdoorsyou’re right on the money. Videos are a great way to shorten the learning curve, but time on the water is king

Nice work breaking down cast lengths. I see guys run up on structure so fast, big motor on all the time. Boat control and positioning is so important (at least I'm finding) for successful hook up on fish you are as much stalking as fishing too traditional with jig fan casting. Would really like to know how valuable you feel brushless trolling units are now given FFs is the way to go after finding specific fish to target? Mabye.. a reaction videowatching fish behavior based on trolling unit (brushless vs traditional) by depth?
@NickLindner7 ай бұрын
Boat position is huge, I agree! I can’t say I have an opinion on the brushless deal. I think it’s just objectively better to have brushless with how hard we run these units with FFS though

Have you noticed any kind of weather pattern or time of day be more effective for this technique especially on highly pressured lakes? Or is more about finding them and putting something in their face?
@NickLindner3 ай бұрын
The latter. The only thing I've seen is when there aren't any clouds, I've seen bait push down and the fish not suspending as much. Not true on ALL lakes, but some. Moon events (rise, set, overfoot, underhead) can help too

1/8 oz even for deeper fish?
@NickLindner7 ай бұрын
I like to, so it’s super easy to dance it in front of their face. But if they are moving around a lot, going to 3/16 or 1/4 can pay

That first fish, you kept saying he, but was it most likely a female? I thought most fish over 24" on inland lakes are females.

You’re correct. Most walleyes over 20 inches are female. I’m just saying random pronouns lol

Been subbed for a while and noticed the lake you were showing was my cabin lake. I won’t say it but it’s by crosslake I’ll say that. But I was wondering is there a way I could get that map details on the other lake connected to it? or if you ever come up that the lake lmk I’m 3 doors down from the launch. That’s funny though, great video.
@NickLindner7 ай бұрын
Thanks Luke! I’m just using lakemaster mapping, so if it’s not on there, idk where the best place to get maps would be. Thanks for watching man

Step 1, obtain $10000 in electronics. Well see ya later!
@NickLindner7 ай бұрын
Do you comment that on every video where someone has a trolling motor and couple graphs? Or just the videos with Livescope? Because you can get a used setup for way way way less than that wild made up number you just pulled out of your butt.

@@NickLindner let's see, $3000 trolling motor 2x $2500 screens, $1000 sonar, batteries, cables, hub, ....yea $10k easy on the basic cheap side. 👌
