I think it might be worth trying some faster more aggressive jigging. I get that the idea is to keep a bait on the fish, but I think rip jigging style presentations get over looked.
@NickLindnerКүн бұрын
Noted! Based on the mood of the fish, I kept it finesse-y, but I might have been able to trigger a bite ripping a plastic.

Very much enjoyed being able to watch the live scope. I’d definitely watch a livestream 🍓if people don’t like the live imaging then they can fish without it. I do fine without it but that’s simply because I haven’t bought it yet

Thank you. Still watching. Question - you say you line up the boat - how do you know you are lined up?
@NickLindnerКүн бұрын
Using the sonar, I like to position the boat so the fish are directly in front of me, if I can. It makes the casting angles easier.

Assuming the time of day plays a big factor in the activity of the strikes?
@NickLindnerКүн бұрын
It can! Not necessarily evening vs mid day always though. Sometimes it’s just particular bite windows when the fish are feeding all over the lake at the same time.

Why do you prefer the live on the trolling motor vs on a hand pole so you can adjust its position while the trolling motor spot locks? Great video by the way, found this very informational on how to see the presentation and what you are looking at while on the water! The overlay of live with your camera is 🔥
@NickLindnerКүн бұрын
Of course there are times when it’s nice having spot lock and a transducer on a pole, but I find you can be way more efficient with the transducer on the trolling motor and your foot on the peddle. You get both hands to operate and your foot to control boat position and transducer angle.

By far my favorite KZbin angler. Honest, fair and you know your stuff without all the 'fluff'. I certainly am learning a lot from you Nick and I'm pretty sure I was fishing long before you were born! But then again I had Al and the boys as mentors back then! CHEERS!

What was the date you filmed on? The fish biting right off the git-go lol...I've ran back and picked up the wife from the cabin a million times because the fishing was so good....and then nothing.lol I bet long line slow S trolling that flat with crawler and spinner would have be deadly.
@NickLindner3 күн бұрын
I think it was Thursday the 23rd. Honestly, it was the first day I’ve had this season where the bite was kinda tough. I had heard from a few other guys that that was when things started to turn a bit for them, too.
