I don't know, but I've always wanted to try this. I found a few spots I might try this spring up near Tower, MN. I'll help with the pronunciations Ely = Ee - lee Soudan = Soo - dan Actually the underground mine tour there is well worth going.

I grew up in Cook MN and found small amounts of gold when I was young up there and have found alot of agates and banded jaspers and other jaspers around hibbing minnesota as well. Oh and tons of fossils from shells and such as well as cool colored cherts.

I've recovered a little over 1 gram from my secret spot (gold). Minnesota is quite underlooked when it comes to gold

Some of the best agates ive found were in a friends neighbors farm field. Maybe 20 min north of mpls

If you can find where your city or county dumps rock and gravel from construction and roads, there's agate in all those piles, just go after a good rainfall

Sweet video! CHI MIIGWECH. I'm a newbie to rock hounding, not new to collecting. So hard to find a good picture or video anywhere. Spent all this summer and less then half last yr, trying to find an agate 😂😂😂. You should do a video of the Ordovician era. Don't find much info on that either. I live in southern MN, tons of fossils about 10 mins from my house. Funny not a whole lot of people think about coming out this way to look for anything. The morels is where we get the out of towners. Miigwech (thanks) again for the video. Nicole,🐻 Makwa💛❤️🖤🤍Dodem

What area if you don't mind me asking, I'm in Jackson county and haven't found much information on fossils in the region other than from New ulm to Springfield there's supposed to be quite a few shark teeth and possibly ammonites

I have actually been to a Gold Vault and there is gold as thin as Paper, I was told it was used for Awards etc. And the employees wore Steel or lead Shoes ? And yes there are Gold bars & and Gold Coins And in order to get to the place One had to traverse a narrow Passway with Surveillance Cameras Dave Minnesota

You have slaughtered the pronunciation of so many of the Minnesota names. You should have done some research into the names because someone traveling to Minnesota based on finding this stuff from your video, if they asked a Minnesotan for directions based on the pronunciation you used people would look at them like they were an alien as they wouldn’t know what they were asking

Please pronounce Ely correctly (eelee, not relie . If you were a native Minnesotan you should have known this. If you ARE a native Minnesotan, shame on you.

If you’re from Minnesota you would have not mispronounced many towns and areas. Good information but irritating.
