I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Building those relationships and providing value is so beneficial. You can always set a timer for how long you spend in these groups so you don’t get carried away. :)

I didnt fully understand what you meant by finding clients who typically use Google ads... how exactly do you find out who is using these ads?

When you search something on Google, usually the first 2-3 results will be paid ads. You can tell because it would say “Sponsored” above the specific result.

Hi Sarah! I am a copywriter and have worked with multiple clients throughout my career. However, I am not from a country where people charge much, but I do believe that I have worked really hard to build my portfolio and skills. Do you think I should charge high (at least $200 per 1000 words) for my copies, regardless of the fact that I am from a third-world country? Do you think clients would care? Also, do you think that one needs a copywriting certification to attract high-paying clients? Do you have one?

I don't see why where you're from has anything to do with what you should charge. The quality of your work determines that. If you're working freelance in digital marketing, your clients might not necessarily even be in your country. The value of your work is much more determined on your experience and the quality of your work. I personally think that copywriting certifications are kind of a joke because it doesn't mean you have any sort of expertise or proof that backs your work, which is much more important.

It’s best to try to reach the owner or decision maker. For some businesses, this may be head of marketing. But for most, I recommend contacting the business owner.

Absolutely! And I still recommend cold emailing. It's a very successful technique for copywriters who know how to do it well. I built my entire business with it and know many who have done the same.

Hi Sarah! I have a question that causes me confusion. Aren’t FB group members filled with individuals interested in a topic (keto) vs. the actual businesses selling keto? I feel like targeting businesses is more challenging.

There are a ton of different Facebook groups, and a lot of them have business owners in them. Try not to limit yourself before you even get started! Opportunities exist all around us. Facebook groups can be a great way to show your expertise on a topic or specific niche. It’s sometimes just a matter of digging around until you find the right ones.

Hey Satvik! Copywriting is less formal than University English, but you do need to be able to string together well thought out sentences. I recommend hiring a proofreader to look over your work before reaching out to clients. I also recommend building your portfolio and website before you start cold emailing.

I have been watching your videos for a few months now , I have even watched reviews from some of your former students. I get zero indication from you that course/videos are catered just for women yet that's all I see. I have even seen a group photo of your class somewhere-all women. Why do you think that is?

Hey Jon! My way of speaking tends to appeal more to women because I speak with more emotion. With that being said, copywriting and Write Your Way to Freedom are not gender-specific. I know a lot of men who are excellent copywriters. There are several men in my course.
