Where to find iphoto slideshow music

Yes - thanks for making and posting this Mark. I did find that there are additional music themes available in Photos slideshow that are not listed here. Like "Classic". I'd like to know where that one is too....

@@modenim So when iPhoto switched to "Photos" for the new OS the one theme song was not in the folder that I wanted. just a heads up to everyone. Do a key word search under the "Private Frameworks" folder for "Audio" & the name of the song. In my case it's "Classic". I let the search engine find it for me. :0

I searched and searched. I honestly don’t even remember how I found it. I think it was a blog or something. I know I was frustrated enough to do a video in case I personally forgot LOL.

I searched for the themes like you did for the music, and could not find them. So I finally went back to iPhoto, played a long slideshow, and recorded the audio with ScreenFlow. This is possible with the demo, since it just records a static Demo page for the video. (I own it, but didn't have the serial number handy).

Not sure if you still need the file but I figured I would post it for the next person who is looking. It is buried even further. /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Slideshows.framework/Versions/A/PlugIns/OpusclassicProducer.opplugin/Contents/Resources/classic.m4a

How do I add CUSTOM music to my APPLE iPhotos slideshow...just a Christmas tune (or 2), for example?

I’m not sure. Never tried. Personally, I’d check which format the existing files are using in this folder (aif likely) make yours the same format and try dropping your file right into the exact same folder as the slideshow music. Let me know if it works.
