I caught a shiny rhyhorn on my third day searching and caught the lucky egg Chansey 3 hours after that Rhyhorn. 13 total Chansey caught, I got super lucky and it still took me 3 days and probably 20 hours 🙃 I have no clue how many Chansey I saw… after a while you just get numb to Chansey instantly fleeing 😭😭😭

Dude i also caught a shiny rhyhorn before getting a chansey with lucky egg😁 i also cloned rhyhorn 3 times to have three evolved 2 into rhydon and transferred them to gen 4 and evolved the last rhydon into rhyperior🤩

I found a shiny Nidorina before getting a Lucky Egg. Now to figure out if I left her in LG or if I transferred her up somewhere...

I just caught the first chansey I encountered on a whim. It was holding a lucky egg, didn't gave it any attention only to realise today the jackpot I received 🎉

a tip if you wanna save some cash and your steps to maximize your balls: you can get one repel and use it when you get to the area like normal, but if you stand in the same spot and rotate you'll get battles without using steps for repel or safari zone. hope this helps someone!

Thanks to this. I caught 4 Chanseys in less than 30mins, for the two times I have entered. First, I got 1. Second, I got 3. I didn't expect that. Haha! Thanks

Gave it a shot today playing a copy of FR and a copy of LG at the same time, using a level 26 Illuminate lead with Max Repel. Caught 3 Chansey out of 25 encountered, the 3rd one had the Lucky Egg 🤩

If possible, get a level 26 Illuminate Pokemon specifically, and a White Flute if you can from RSE. They stack, which means you'll see wild pokemon way more often, meaning less time between Repels, meaning less Time soft reseting Staryu is perfect if you're playing Leafgreen, otherwise you'll need to trade with RSE or LeafGreen if you're playing FireRed unfortunately. Which means it covers the Surf Pokemon you'd need. And you don't need Cut to get to the Safari Zone gate or Pokemart, so that helps a lot

Just a little tip (maybe someone already says it in the comments): you techically need only one repel. Turning by "taping" trigger a pokemon encounter but doesn't count as a step ^^ (just spam left and right)

I just sent a lucky egg over from my XD Gale of Darkness copy LMAO. (actually I cloned the lucky egg in Emerald first but you get the point) Ever since I recently got a gameboy and a GC to GBA link cable I've been playing a lot more gen 3.

about a day ago, started a playthrough of emerald. the professor birch battle made me kill a shiny, i was pissed. today, see this video and decide to try it out. first 3 minutes, shiny nidorina. fled first turn. heres hoping i find a lucky egg soon with this unlucky luck.

My second chansey gave me a lucky egg on the 2nd ball I threw. I’ve been blessed by the chanseys.

so if you have a full party can you still get the chansey with egg. i did start off with 4 empty spaces in my team but keep getting chanseys (with no lucky egg) and now i have about 3 chanseys in my lineup. So would i have to release the chanseys so i have empty slots again or will i be able just to keep grinding and have chanseys go into my box

once you get a lucky egg you can dupe it right? i would like at least 2 eggs but not sure i would want to do grinding that long

Thanks for breaking down the exact best method for catching Chansey. Just out of curiosity, how did your game data get corrupted?

Not sure the source of the problem, honestly. The guy I met with online said that sometimes it can result in the solder points getting wear and tear over time, and he can fix those and usually the data is fine. Mine wasn't that though :(

Dude I got EXTREMELY lucky then! I was literally just rushing towards the end to get the HM the first time through, and came upon a chancey. Thought "oh sweet! It's worth a try!" Expecting to fail and for it to run. I threw ONE safari ball... Instant catch! And the MF had a lucky egg!!! It wasn't till my friend told me how hard he'd been trying to get one, and me telling him "what're you talking about dude it's easy?" And him calling me a liar till I showed him, that I realized how lucky I had gotten 😂

Still doesn't compare to GSC encounter rate of 1% and 2% chance of holding Lucky Egg. Now, THAT's brutal 😂

I used save states for this. Total time to find the egg was about 1 hour.

If i save on the imulator, and keep getting the same chansey, will evantually it will give an egg?

Im so jealous right now how did you find A chansey in 14 catches on the first try ? Then 19 i had caught 25 chanseyw with no lucky egg

So after you catch about 14 or more chanseys theres a chance i can get a lucky egg?

@@DJANDRC Just about 1 in every 20 Chansey, technically. If you have the Level 26, that is. Without that it's 1 in every 25.

Currently playing FireRed now. You should talk to one of Prof. Chen's assistant. He is ready to give it to you if you have 10 pokemons on your Pokedex.
