Excellent and very actionable advice, with clear examples! I do the same thing. I find locations and characters to be the most important - you can extrapolate many situations from just mixing them up and finding relations!

Yep, and the more obscure the reference, the better. There are even a TON of old public domain comics on comicbookplus, so you'll never run out of reading material.

Great job! Thank you for providing such great insight and ideas. This was so refreshing! Linear play that allows for ebb and flow. Unpredictably is what makes playing so much fun within basic guidelines. Keep providing great content. It’s a breath of fresh air!

Thanks for watching. My well runs dry sometimes just like everyone else's. Plus it's kind of a fun way to read or watch something when you're looking for elements to use in your games. Now if I can just find a way to do that with Matlock.

I used Emperor Cartagia from B5 once, that was a BLAST.
@sharpmountaingames93032 ай бұрын
Was that in a fantasy game? Did you reskin him?
@DMTalesTTRPG2 ай бұрын
@@sharpmountaingames9303 yes, and kinda. He was the emperor of the last remnant of a long-passed empire, preserved in a valley outside of normal time.

My difficulty in planning sessions always seems to be the plethora of ideas I have running in the back of mind all at once and narrowing them down to just a few. Staying focused and savoring the moments while not jumping too quickly from one thing to the next is a real struggle. Not sure if anyone else wrestles with that? Thoughts? Helpful ideas?
