I guess if your idea of visiting the true Bali....DO NOT GO TO LEGIAN OR SEMINYAK...a plethora of Aussie owned sports bars, tattoo parlours, massage parlours....and prettty much nothing else. What was once a beautiful area, Legian and Seminyak are pretty much like any other Aussie shopping areas.......and expensive. Not much Balinese anymore sadly, the developers have ruined all that used to be Balinese.

Things have changed in Bali- the rent & food prices are outrageous and have tripled with WAY too many people/crime there now! Do NOT go STAY AWAY unless you have tons of money! Go to the Philippines - so CHEAP and beautiful!!!!
