As an American who stayed in the Eixample District a couple years ago, I was pretty surprised. It's very walkable, lots of great restaurants and very family friendly. But the whole place shuts down on Sundays in a way I don't think I've experienced anywhere else. I'm totally used to Mediterranean countries doing their own thing, but this was unprecedented. The only open restaurant I could find on a Sunday was an American-style sushi joint that offered stuff like Philly rolls. I mean I'd still totally go back, but that was some serious culture shock.
@PickaPictour3 жыл бұрын
Yeah 🙈 but all around Barcelona
@ircraddle86903 жыл бұрын
That's a European thing mainly. In some places you'll be even more shocked. In certain parts of Germany for instance it's even worse when it comes to things that are open/closed during the weekends. To be honest, I was shocked how crazy it is near and during Christmas, there is a day or two if I recall correctly when like everything is closed, everything. You'll barely even see people on the streets. And I am from Europe, from another latin country. Nevertheless, it's a great city, I used to be there every year for a couple of weeks, prior to the pandemic. I used to go in Dec or Jan, just to avoid the big crowds of tourists. This time I'll be there this September, after almost 2 years, really looking forward.

In your oppinion which better LA or Barcelona , and why?
@Ari-ld9hi3 жыл бұрын
@@adnanarapovic1513 Barcelona. Cleaner. Safer. Immense amount of culture and history. Art. Amazing food. Nicer people. Better water to swim in (Mediterranean). No need for a car as public transport is way better in Barcelona, even by bicycle. Closer to major cities such as Madrid (via Renfre - high speed rail), Paris, Valencia, and much cheaper to fly anywhere in Europe. The only thing you can do in LA is make more money but you also pay much more to live.

The only problem with this video is that the empty Barcelona you’re seeing is only due to corona situation. Once life is back to normal, the insane amount of tourists and people make this a lot more chaotic. Now Spain seems like a Scandinavian country :) so clean and empty.
