You could get cheap rooms if you're not picky. The cheapest I've paid for a night in long beach was rm35.

I like the aircon one. I like to sleep in cold room, lol esp when the weather is cooking hot ! I stayed at Cocohut and had to walk up the steps and slope... not for old folks, lol. But the chalet is comfortable wt ac. We know the owner there. The other place we stayed at was The Barat Perhentian resort. The food is VERY GOOD, and chalet/room is ac. Place to sit and lie on the hammock, and that is where you can see the flying squirrels. I would recommend The Barat Perhentian resort.

I just came back from Perhentian. Stayed at Bubu Villa and the price is equivalent to the pool suite in St Regis Langkawi!

I sent 1 week in long Beach 20 years ago. It has changed so much since then . Long Beach was amazing weather went snorkeling and saw tones tropical fish and even saw reef sharks. I thought long Beach was way better then bondi Beach, Australia

well I would say for a local person these price are still quite expensive. if you are solo or just boys you could chose `Butterfly Chalet` it cost 60-80RM/night

I've never booked any accommodations in advanced when going to Perhentian Kecil considering that I've been there numerous times. I think it's old habit. Would only look for a room once I set foot on the island. The same goes with kapas island. I would tell my wife if we can't find a room, we'd sleep on the beach, but that never happens.

Pulau Perhentian is expensive to going there.. We locals also pay more than other islands in Malaysia such as Pangkor, Redang, etc.. Better spend it to Mabul Island, Sipadan Island etc..
